Sam's POV:

"Aunt Lo, I don't wanna walk anymore!" Savannah cried out. I don't blame her, she's been on her feet for over an hour now, trick-or-treating.

You should see her precious face when people give her candy. She always has the brightest smile when she cheerfully says "trick-or-treat!" and she has such wonderful manners and thanks everyone.

My parents decided to tag along with us while my sister, Emily, passed out candy at our house. Of course, my mom has taken way too many pictures.

"Come here sweetheart." I said as I picked her up, placing her on my shoulders.

"Please don't drop me." She giggled, gently grabbing onto my hair.

"Of course not, love." I said and we started to make our way back to my house.

"Oh gosh, turn around Sammy and let me get a picture of the two of you!" My mom said excitedly, snapping the picture as Savannah and I cheesed like crazy.

Logan carried Savannah's trick-or-treat bag as we continued our way down the street.

We finally reached my house, as it finally got dark and we all went inside, including my sister.

Once it gets dark on Halloween, the local teenagers come out and like to pull pranks.

"Logan, you and Savannah should just stay here for the night, I don't want you driving this late at night, especially on Halloween. You just never know." My mom offered.

"Yay! Sleepover at Uncle Sammy's!" Savannah cheered.

Logan's eyes widened at the mention of "Uncle Sammy", as did my mom's.

I, on the other hand, wasn't really phased. I actually kinda liked it. It was cute and I think I can get used to it.

My mom and Logan seemed pretty speechless.

Logan's phone started to ring, playing Skate's song "Little Bit". She quickly excused herself and went to the dining room to answer.

My parents excused themselves as well, my mom going to the kitchen and my dad going upstairs. My sister decided to go to a party that my brother, Ben, was already at. So, I was left with Savannah.

"So, what do you wanna do, Van?" I asked her.

She just shrugged her shoulders and smiled. I can not get over how adorable her costume is. It suits her perfectly. Not to mention how much she resembles Lilo.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner." I could hear Logan from the other room.

I know it's wrong of me to eavesdrop but, I'm just curious who she's telling what.

"Nate." She sighed then paused.

"Yeah, I'm at his house with Savannah."

"We took her trick-or-treating."

"Yeah, she looked adorable, she still has her costume on if you want to see."

"Okay, I'll FaceTime you in a sec."

She started walking in to living room, holding her phone in front of her.

"Hey, Savannah, you wanna see Uncle Nate and Uncle J?" Logan smiled at her.

I watched as she turned the camera to face Savannah, showing the guys her costume.

"That's my baby!" Skate yelled out.

"Uncle J's gonna have to start beating up some guys here soon, I can see." Swazz added.

Savannah took Logan's phone from her and talked to the guys. They commented on how beautiful she looked and how much they loved and missed her.

Logan joined me on the couch while Savannah talked to her "uncles".

"They know about us." She sighed, lying her head on my shoulder.

"Were they mad?" I asked.

"They were more upset that I didn't tell them. But, I think you're safe." She smiled at me.

"I love you." I said. It's the first time I had ever verbally told her that but, I have not a single regret.

"I love you." She smiled and pecked my lips.

In my mind, we've told each other this countless times. Not through words but, actions. This just made it more clear that we're on the same page.

After a few minutes, Savannah had to say bye to the guys, she kissed the camera on the phone before they hung up.

"I'll be back, I need to give Savannah a bath." Logan said, pecking my lips before taking Savannah upstairs.

I lied on the couch, on my side, Logan in front of me as Savannah lied on top of me.

I don't know a whole lot in life but, I do know that for as long as I live, nobody will hurt these girls. I'll protect them forever.
