Sam's POV: •the next evening•
"You guys ready to roll out?" Skate said, walking into my apartment with two bags, I'm assuming one was his and the other was Swazz's.
We all nodded and got our stuff together. I made sure to have the tickets along with Logan and I's luggage.
We made our way to Skate's car, Logan and I sitting in the back. Logan leaned her head on my shoulder, holding tight onto my hand. As if she trusted me to protect her from this is awful situation.
She's been in a slump all day. She didn't eat or talk much all day. All she did was shower, eat lunch and watch tv with Swazz while I got everything ready for this "trip". I completely understood and I didn't pressure her at all. She's very obviously stressed out.
We finally pulled into the parking lot of the airport, gathered our things and made our way to security check.

"I'm going to kick his ass when I see him." Logan said as we exited the plane in Omaha.
"I know, sweetheart." I chuckled, following behind her as we walked to baggage claim.
We got our luggage and everything and quickly found my brother, Ben.
"Thank you for everything." Logan said and gave him a small hug.
"It's not a problem at all." He smiled and we made our way to the parking lot.
We made the short drive to my parents' house. As soon as we pulled in the driveway, Savannah came outside, my mom following close behind.
"Aunt Lo!" She yelled. Logan got out and scooped her up in a hug.
"I'm here, baby girl." Logan said, kissing Savannah's forehead.
"I was so scared without you." Savannah said as Logan sat her back down on the ground.
"Uncle J!" She squealed and ran up to him, jumping in his arms.
"Uncle Nate!" She yelled, when he came around from the other side of the car. Swazz handed her to Skate.
Swazz and I grabbed the bags and took them inside, followed by Logan and Skate, who carried Savannah in on his hip.
"Thank you, mom." I said, hugging my mom's side.
"Oh, honey, you know I love having Savannah around." My mom smiled brightly.
"Alright, Nathan and John, you guys can take the spare bedrooms, Logan you can stay with Sam." My mom said, trying to get thing organized.
Swazz and I took all the bags upstairs and sat them in my room and made out way back downstairs, knowing Logan wanted to go see Rocco.
"You guys ready?" I asked.
They all agreed and we started to make our way back outside.
"Where are you going?" Savannah interrupted, coming from the kitchen.
"Oh, um, we have some business we need to take care of." Swazz said. We knew if we told her we were going to see Rocco she would want to come.
She was about to say something when Ben came in, "Savannah, want to come help me make the cookies?"
"Yes!" She said excitedly and scurried off to the kitchen with him.
The four of us quickly went outside and back into Ben's car, which he generously let me borrow.
We made the trip to the hospital near Logan's neighborhood, stopping for food, of course, on the way there.
I pulled into the parking lot of the hospital, which wasn't in the best of shape but, I didn't expect much at all from an area like this.
We walked in, got the room number and made our way down the hall. I hate the smell of hospitals.
We stood outside of the closed door. Logan's hand stayed on the handle as she breathed deeply.
"Lord, please don't let me kill him." Logan whispered and opened the door.
"Logan?" Rocco groaned as he turned his head away from the small television on the wall.
"Yeah, what's up?" She asked, clearly unsure of how to break the ice.
"You know, recovering from almost dying." He sighed.
The three of us guys stood back towards the corner, letting them talk it out.
"Why in the fuck did you bring that shit around Savannah?" Logan asked through gritted teeth.
"You know I'm not financially stable. I missed it, Logan. I promised I'd have the money because I figured I'd borrow it from someone but, I didn't. Then, things were said, and he shot me." He explained.
"I don't care, Rocco. Your daughter watched you get shot. That's beyond fucked up. She could've watched you die. You promised you'd stop that shit." She said, looking away from him.
"You don't understand, Logan. It's not easy to take care of a kid. Sometimes I need something relieve stress." He sighed.
"Why the fuck don't you do something that won't get you shot? Drink a couple beers and smoke a cigarette. You'll be a lot better off than when you're snorting coke." She raised her voice.
"It's not that the fucking easy, Logan." Rocco groaned, rolling his eyes.
"You're fucking your life up, Rocco. You know that? You're fucking it up. You're fucking up Savannah's, mine and everyone else's around you. You can't keep doing this shit." Logan said, obviously getting extremely frustrated.
"Who the hell are you to tell me what I can and can't do with my life?" He asked.
"I can't tell you what to do with your life. But, I'll be damned if I let you ruin my niece's life because you can't get a fucking grip...you're just like dad." She whispered the last part and everything went silent.
"Rocco, don't." Skate warned.
"Logan. I never want you to ever compare me to dad again, got it? What he did to us can never be forgiven or forgotten. He is the definition of shit and deserves to rot in Hell." Rocco said calmly. Logan just nodded. I wonder what horrible things their dad must have done for him to say that.
"You're right. You're not like dad. Yet. Rocco, if you keep doing this, you will end up like him. I'm not going to let you do that. You need help." She said, also seeming to calm down.
"I know, that's why I have a favor to ask of you." He said, taking a drink from the water that sat at the table beside him.
"What?" She sighed.
"Take Savannah for a week or two." He said, looking down, almost as if he was ashamed for asking.
"Rocco." Logan sighed, yet again.
"I know it's a lot but, you have to help me out here." He pleaded.
"I've helped you enough, Rocco. I had a future and I stopped everything to help you. I was a Division I college athlete, I could've gone pro if I wanted but, I didn't because you needed help. I have a degree that I don't use because I needed to help you take care of Savannah. It's time you learn some responsibility." She placed her face in her hands.
"Don't do it for me. Do it for her. You're her God-mother, her idol, her best friend. Please?" He pleaded.
Logan looked at me as if she expected me to give permission. She already knew that it was completely up to her.
"Fine. One week."
