“Tours! Please follow me.” Heidi, our tour guide gestured towards the cold stone hall. “Please stay together!”

I glanced over at my twin sister Evelyn. Her dark brown hair peeked out from her top coloring of blonde hair, I know that may seem weird but I find it fits her unique cheerful style. On the other hand my golden brown/blonde hair was cut short into a pixie like bob, to show my playful go with the flow attitude. All of the people in the tour seemed to be awed by this old castle, but I was not amused. When we get some free time away from our parents… I really don’t want to spend it learning about history.

“Athena” Evelyn whispered.

“What?” I responded quickly, finally something entertaining!

“Where are we going?”

“I don’t know, I’m not the tour guide.”

“Well, we need to get back to the hotel room by 5pm and its already like 5:50pm!”

“Okay lets turn around then” I said spinning in a half circle.

“Really? Do you know your way out?”

“Just go back the way Heidi took us, it seems easy enough.”

“You better be right Athena… If we get in trouble-”

“We’re not! We’re only going to get in trouble for being home late, which we will be if we stay.”

“hmm… fine” she moped.

“What now?” I asked starting to walk back down the hall with her.

“I really wanted to see where this tour was going.”

“You just said we were going to be late”

My pace began to speed up as we neared another door way. I think this is where Heidi took us…

“I know… but still-”

Just as she started to explain dreaded screams of terror erupted behind us. We both looked back in horror and shock as we heard hard doors slam from each end of the hall.

“Evelyn!”

“Go go!” Evelyn screamed back taking off at a full speed dash.

We both ran as quickly as possible away from the cries. We got to the end of the hall, the doors that led to the exit we shut with a heavy metal bar.

“Lift it!” I yelled in panic.

We both tried to lift it but it didn’t budge at all. I started to hyperventilate from all the fear running though me, I didn’t even notice the tears pooling down my cheeks.

“What now?!” Evelyn shrieked.

The screams went dead as Evelyn and I stared at each other in confusion and unease.

“I-is it o-over?” I stuttered.

“What do you mean by “it” we d-don’t know what happened.”

The tears were still pooling down my face as I still tried to desperately lift the bar. Evelyn put her hand on my arm.

“Should we go see what happened?”

I looked at her like she was psychotic.

“It’s the only other way, we aren’t going to get out…”

“We could hide” I cried.

“Where?”

I looked around frantically, seeing nothing but stone block walls with a few paintings here and there. I looked at Evelyn and nodded gently. We cautiously edged down the hall towards the giant door that led to all those people’s hollers for mercy.
