Time Skip To A Few Months Later
Reader's POV
I was in the bull pin and Hotch looked extremely distracted. Sighing, I looked down at my paperwork and continued on my report. After a few minutes, Morgan passed by me and he smiled at me, saying,
"Hotch looks like he could use a distraction." Rolling my eyes, I shook my head and replied,
"He might smite me."
"Who might smite you?" A familiar voice said, from behind me. Turning around, I came face to face with Aaron and he looked normal, but I could tell that he was upset.
"No one, sir." I said, trying to keep a normal expression. Raising a brow, Hotch sighed and rolled his eyes, saying,
"Whatever...Agent (L/N), may I speak to you in my office?" Nodding, I stood up and followed him into his office, closing the door behind him. He closed his blinds and stood facing me, asking,
"(Y/N)...will you come out with me tonight?"
"L-Like on a date?"
"...You don't have to if you don't want to..."
"No, I want to. I was just shocked."
"I'll pick you up at 6:30."
"O-Okay."
Time Skip to 6:30
I was wearing a short black dress that hugged my curves, lightly, and black heels. My hair was pulled out of my face, in curls that framed my face. A knock came to my door and I jumped, becoming nervous.
Opening the door, I came face to face with my Unit Chief.
"Hi." I greeted Aaron, meekly. Smiling, he looked down at me and responded,
"Hi there. Ready?" Nodding, I closed my door and walked with him to his car. The car ride was quiet and Aaron still seemed distracted. When we got to the restaurant, Aaron spoked with the host and got us our table, but his focus was still not there.
Sighing, I put my menu down and looked at him, asking,
"Alright, Aaron. Talk to me...where is your head at?" Looking up at me, he sighed and shook his head, answering softly,
"Haley is asking for a divorce." Gasping, softly, I grabbed Aaron's hand and squeezed, saying,
"Aaron, if you need anything-"
"A place to stay?" He asked, looking hopeful. Smiling at him, I nodded and tears filled his eyes, as his emotions over came him. Composing himself, he nodded and mouthed, to me,
"Thank you." Dinner flew by and driving home, Aaron grabbed my hand, softly. Looking at him, I was a little confused and he noticed, so he concluded,
"Thank you for this (Y/N)." Parking, he helped me out and came into my apartment, continuing,
"I won't be too much of a bother." Shaking my head, I locked my front door and put my stuff down, replying,
"Nonsense." Aaron sat down on the couch and I pulled out a bottle of wine, asking,
"Wine?" Looking at me, he chuckled and asked,
"White or red?" Grabbing two cups, I sat next to him and placed the cups on the coffee table, replying,
"Red is the way to a girl's heart." Chuckling, he nodded and said,
"That is the saying."
"Pour." I commanded, handing the bottle to him and laying my legs across his lap. Smiling, he poured the two glasses and handed me one, saying,
"Yes, Ma'am." After a few glasses, the TV was playing, softly, and I was talking to Aaron. He caressed my cheek and asked, softly,
"Why didn't I notice you before?" My eyes widened and he leaned down to my face, whispering,
"You were always there." His lips ghosted over mine and he asked, himself,
"Why didn't I notice?" Pulling me onto his lap, he held onto my wait and kissed me, harshly. My hands were on his chest and he pulled away, saying,
"I have a confession to make." Looking down at him, I was still in shock and he continued,
"I'm pretty sure I love you." Staying quiet, I got off of him and shook my head, saying,
"Aaron, you're hurting, you're confused, and I do not wanna be the 'one night stand' girl." Standing up, he pulled my hips into his and he shook his head, saying,
"You are not just a 'one night stand' girl."
"You're drunk." I said, trying to separate from him. He shook his head and whispered,
"It takes a lot more than a few bottles of wine to throw me." Picking me up, he knew what he wanted and I squealed.
Time Skip to the Next Morning
Rolling over, I stretched and looked to my side, not seeing Aaron. Holding my blankets to my chest, I looked around my room and noticed Aaron was gone.
Sighing, I threw myself back onto the bed and scoffed, saying,
"Of course." I heard my bathroom door open and looking over, I saw Aaron with a towel around his waist. His hair was wet and he was covered in water droplets, brushing his teeth. Sitting up, I kept my blankets above my breasts and he smirked, disappearing into the bathroom for a moment.
Coming back out, he sat on the bed and said, softly,
"Hi." I smiled at him and replied,
"Hi."
