The day that we were getting married, Jack and Aaron hadn't seen me for almost two days. I was with the girls and they were ecstatic, fretting over everything.
"Girls, everything is going to be fine." I tried to calm them down, failing and Garcia smiled, replying,
"You're way too chill for your wedding day."
Laughing, I shook my head and the rest of the day flew by, quickly. When it came time to walk down the aisle, I became nervous and Dave's voice teased,
"Getting nervous?"
"Now that the time had come, yeah." I replied, looking at him and he smiled, offering me his arm. Taking it, I smiled and when we walked down the aisle, I felt my heart skip a beat seeing Aaron. Seeing Jack.
I felt tears threaten to fall and Dave fussed, softly,
"No, no, no. No, tears. Not yet."
"Heh. Easy for you to say."
When I got to Aaron, he looked like he was on the verge of tears as well and I leaned down, kissing Jack on the forehead.
The ceremony was small and emotional. What mattered was that we loved one another and we loved Jack. At the reception, I danced with Aaron, David, Derek, and Jack. Jack, Aaron, and I danced together, happily.
"So, Jack. Are you excited for our vacation?" I asked, sitting with him and he smiled, nodding.
"Can we go swim with the dolphins?" Jack asked, giving Aaron and I the best puppy dog eyes, making it hard to say no. Aaron hesitated and looked away from the boy, starting,
"I don't know, Buddy."
"Oh, come now, Aaron." I started, gaining his attention and turning on my best puppy dog eyes. I suppose the intensity I was giving him was too much because his face flushed red, instantly. He looked away from me and coughed, agreeing,
"Alright. Alright. We can go swimming with dolphins." Smiling, I looked at Jack and he smiled up at me, giving me a high five.
After our vacation, we had a very hard time keeping our hands off of one another and my activity in the field lessened. When Aaron got back, I was often waiting for him anxiously.
Two years after we got married, I was with Jack and Jessica, waiting on Aaron to come home. Jessica looked me up and down, smiling. When I put Jack to bed, I sighed and asked her, lightly,
"What is it, Jess? You look like you know something."
"Congratulations."
Blushing, I put a finger to my lips and shushed her, making her laugh. Aaron came home thirty minutes later and asked,
"What're we laughing about?" Looking over to him, I smiled and shook my head, replying,
"Making fun of you."
"Naturally. . .I missed you."
"I missed you too, Aaron."
He leaned down and pressed a kiss to my mouth, softly. Jessica got her things together and said,
"Well, I'll see you guys later!"
"Bye, Jess." Aaron replied, his eyes never leaving mine. When the door closed, he grabbed the back of my thighs and ordered,
"Jump." Doing as told, I jumped up and wrapped my legs around his waist, linking my arms around his neck. When we got to the room and he placed me on the bed, he sighed,
"Gimme a second."
"Of course."
Leaving me on the bed, he went into Jack's room and kissed him goodnight. When he got back, I had changed into my pajamas and I was laying down. He smiled and went take a shower, coming back quickly. When we were laying together, he clung to me and kissed me, saying,
"Goodnight."
The next morning, I woke up early and began breakfast. As I was cooking, Aaron wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my neck, whispering,
"Good morning."
"Hm. Good morning. Need me to go wake Jack?"
"Please. I'll cook the bacon."
Smiling, I nodded and walked to Jack's room, quietly. When I walked into the room, I tried to stay as quiet as possible and when I got to his bedside, I whispered,
"Jack, sweetheart. It's time to get up." Shaking him, lightly, I waited for him to open his eyes and when he did, he asked,
"Can we tell daddy today?"
Chuckling, I put a finger to his mouth and shushed him quietly,
"Shh. We can. Don't spoil the surprise though."
"Knock. Knock. Breakfast is ready." Aaron's voice called, turning on the light and making Jack pout, softly. Glaring at him, he chuckled and I told Jack to go get some pancakes, which got him up very quickly.
As I passed by Aaron, he stopped me and asked,
"What's the surprise?" Smiling, I shushed him and went into the kitchen. After breakfast, Jack was bouncing up and down in his chair. Aaron was washing the dishes and when we were in the living room, Aaron sighed,
"Okay. I gotta know. What's the secret?" Jack looked at me and I smiled, nodding.
"Daddy, mommy is gonna have baby!"
"!!"
Aaron looked shocked and he looked to me, for confirmation. Smiling, I put a hand on my belly and confirmed,
"Aaron. . .I'm pregnant!"
"You're. . ." Aaron paused and Jack exclaimed,
"She's pregnant, dad!"
"You're pregnant!!" Aaron exclaimed, standing up and hugging me, spinning me around.
"I love you! Both of you!" He finished, pressing a kiss to my mouth and I smiled, replying,
"I love you both too. My two boys."
