A few days later, I was sitting in my office and Erin called me, starting,

"Agent (L/N), there's a case I need you to look at."

"Okay, I'll get the team tog-"

"No, not you and your team. Just you. Come by my office?"

Closing the file I was looking at, I leaned back into my chair and replied,

"Why just me?"

"The case is sensitive and requires a sensitive hand. Not the rough hands of your entire team."

"Politics?"

"Yes, politics." Sighing, I opened the file and signed the bottom of it, concluding,

"Fine, I'm headed your way." Hanging up the phone, I stood up and smoothed out my pencil skirt, walking out of my office. My hair was down and I brushed it out of my face, running a hand through my hair.

"Hey there, gorgeous." Aaron's voice pulled me from my thoughts and I looked at his face, taking in the love in his eyes.

"Hey, handsome. I know I said we'd have lunch, but Strauss has something for me." I sighed, crossing my arms over my chest and his eyes followed the movement, almost as though he were in a trance by my presence. Chuckling, I snapped my fingers in his face and his eyes lifted back to mine, as I teased,

"My eyes are up here."

"Heh. Sorry, you're just like a goddess. Sometimes, I can't help it." He replied, making my cheeks heat up and I coughed, replying,

"Aren't you sweet. But I do have to go. I'll see you later." Smiling, he leaned down and pressed a kiss to my mouth, gently. Kissing back, briefly, I felt content and when I pulled away, I looked into those dark brown eyes. Caressing his cheek, I sighed and walked away, dreading the feeling in my stomach.

Aaron's Point of View

Watching her walk away, I felt this gut clenching fear and with each echo of her heels, I felt myself frowning deeper.

"You look any angrier and I'd swear you'd wanna hurt (Y/N)." Rossi's voice teased and I looked at him, humming.

"I'm not angry. Just worried."

"About?"

"Whatever case Strauss is about to hand to my girlfriend."

"Case?"

"Yeah."

A few hours later, I was sitting in my office and a knock on my door pulled my away from my files, as I called,

"Come in." (Y/N) stepped into my office and closed the door behind her, sighing. She was wearing a black pencil skirt, white blouse, and black heels. She was just stunning and my admiration was stopped by the sight of her go bag.

"How long will you be gone?" I asked, standing up and going lean against the front of my desk, as she replied,

"I don't know. A few weeks. Meetings and this case."

"Will you be able to talk to me at all?"

". . . They want to send me under."

"Absolutely not."

"Which was my reply. Then they offered to send someone with me . . . You."

"They adapted this case for me?"

"No, but when I refused they caved."

"So, where are we going?"

"Arizona."
