Throughout the drive, we all played I Spy and looked at the view.

California still wasn't back to normal, but it was slowly progressing it's way to how it was before the Analogs.

Pretty much everywhere except for the zones and Battery City seemed to be normal.

Then again, normal is just an illusion.

What is chaotic for us can be peaceful to someone else.

"You alright?" Val asks as he takes my hand.

I panic a little as he grabs my hand, and I quickly move it away as he looked at me with sadness in his eyes.

I clear my throat, "I'm fine. Just checking out the view." I reply as I turn my head to look back out the window.

I watched as the scorched, dusty desert turned into a scenery of green. I stuck my hand out the window and felt the temperature decrease at least twenty degrees.

The air wasn't as stuffy and I felt as if my lungs have opened up more.

"This is amazing. I didn't think Amy part of California would have been like this anymore." Electric Rose said.

"It took a lot of work. The people who live around here put in a lot of time and effort to make their homes beautiful again. " Dr. Deathdefying said.

"Wait, why doesn't Battery City bother them?" Curly Fry said.

Cherri Cola pursed his lips,"Deals. They make deals with Battery City to leave them alone. Most of it is trade, and to not help the killjoys."

"But they basically ate helping us. They are giving us supplies aren't they?" I ask as I turn to Dr. Deathdefying.

"There are rebels everywhere Toxic. Those rebels are our friends. "

I give Death a questioning look, but he just looks out the window.

I shrug as I lean onto Val's shoulder and close my eyes as I let the breeze hit my face.

I open my eyes and the air around me is even colder than before.

I couldn't see the sun, just gray clouds hovering over me and a fog arising off of the green ocean.

"You woke up just in time. We are almost at our destination."

I sit up straight and observe the town as we drove by.

There were little houses everywhere. The people here didn't look like killjoys, but ordinary citizens.

The stores were shacks and there was a gloom over the town that I can't describe. Everyone here seems so...  Depressed.

I didn't see one smile. Anywhere.

Even though we killjoys have it hard, we are a happy bunch.

We pull to a stop in front of a large house that sits on top of a hill.

It had stones as a pathway that led up to the front steps.

The windows were crafted out of stain glass, and the doors were made out of redwood.

Dr. Deathdefying knocks on the door as we all stand behind him, holding our suitcases awkwardly.

A man with blonde hair that touched his shoulders, chiseled chin, and jaw line so sharp it could cut a bitch answered the door.

He reminded me of Kobra Kid in a way.

"Welcome fellow rebels. We've been waiting." He said as he motioned us inside the house, smiling at each one of us.
