Party Poison POV:
We explained everything to Missile Kid. We explained we the guys and I had to fake our deaths, we explained why Toxic was captured and what happened to the baby.
We explained to her that she was a bomb. She was the one who had to save us all.
As we told her everything that had happened, tears flooded her eyes and streamed down her face uncontrollably.
Toxic enveloped her Into a hug as they both cried.
I watched the two of them while I stayed still and silent.
It devastated me that someone so young had to hear all of this. That she had to go and sacrifice herself to save everyone else. It wasn't fair to her or us.
"We are going to give you a choice. " I forced out.
Toxic let go of Missile Kid, but still kept her hand on her shoulder as an attempt to comfort her.
"You can choose to leave right now. Or you can help us win the war. Everyone is going to kill me when they find out about this, but I care about you too much to force you into something against your free will. "
"Poison we will all die if we let her go." Toxic whispers, being the logical woman she is.
But I go off my feelings. I don't think things through, I've always stuck to my gut feelings and emotions.
I will not stand by and force a child into sacrificing herself. I knew she would come around when she was older. If we had to wait a whole decade then I don't care. To me, that's better than forcing her to do this.
The girl looks into my eyes, hers were glossy with tears.
She looks at her hands, which were shaking, and her breathing becomes heavier.
I look at Toxic, her lips were pursed and her eyebrows were knitted together. I know she is thinking of every possible thing that can go wrong with the choice I just offered Missile Kid.
Her eyes meet with mine, and they aren't angry. They are sad.
She smiles at me, but that smile doesn't reach her eyes.
"You chose whatever you want, Missile Kid. No one will be angry at you. " she says.
"I'm the one who has to do it? Can't you guys get someone else?" She said, barely a whisper.
She fiddles with her fingers, not even bothering to look at either one of us.
"You're the only one. " I choke out," You are our messiah. "
Toxic puts a hand on her face and closes her eyes.
"Toxic, you said they cut the baby out of you?" Missile Kid asked out if no where.
She looks up at the girl in surprise at such a question being asked at this time.
"Yes..." she trailed.
"Can I see it?" Missile Kid asked in awe.
Toxic looks at me for a fraction of a second, then back to Missile Kid.
She stands up, and slowly moves her hands to the hem of her shirt.
She kept her eyes closed as she pulled up her shirt, as if she was reliving the whole memory.
I wanted to look away, but I couldn't. I knew she had a scar, but I never paid attention to it because I didn't necessarily want to.
Once the scar was visible, a wave of emotions and sympathy washed over me.
