Toxic's POV

The sight was amazing. The killjoys were all singing along to "Destroya", as if it were a war chant.

The closer we got to Battery City, the more pumped up everyone got. After all these years of just talking and killing draculoids, we finally got our asses up and are making a change.

All I want is a future for everyone. For Poison and I, the guys, and every soul out there. Even the ones who are trapped in city.

The songs continued, the war chants continued, and the loud roar of the car engines continued as we approached the city.

"There it is. " Kobra said with a grin as the outline of bat city neared us.

It seemed as if Poison pushed the gas pedal a little harder. The adrenaline is probably being pumped throughout his body, as it is to mine.

The last few minutes in the trans am were a blur, If I'm being completely honest.

The nerves were finally catching up to me when I saw all the guards standing at the gates of the utopian city. The shadows of the buildings cascading across their masks as they stood in a line, guarding their precious city.

They soon faltered once they saw Destroya marching right behind us.

They stood in their place but they were not on guard anymore. They actually looked as if they were scared shitless. Poison stopped the car abruptly, and the other cars followed.

"Killjoys. It's time. " Dr. Death's spoke through the radio.

Poison glanced back at us, then looked at Kobra. With a stiff nod, he opened his door and we did the same action.

The air was filled with silence. All I could here were car doors closing and feet scuffling in the sand as they walked closer to the gates. The killjoys and the draculoids were I'm a stand-off, and neither side knew who was going to shoot first.

All of a sudden, multiple smoke bombs were set off and prevented anyone from seeing anything.

"GO!" I hear Poison scream , and I moved. We all moved. I could see the lasers being shot and hear it hit the flesh.

As all of the chaos was going on, the city set off its' alarms and I'm assuming even more guards were in their way out.

I can see Destroya's silhouette as he gliding over everyone, then he effortlessly went through the wall that separated Battery City from the rest of the world.

I sprint towards the direction Destroya was walking to, trying my best to dodge lasers. I keep running and never look back to make sure I made it into the city. I knew that anyone with brains would have gone in that direction.

I trip over what felt like a body and land on my hands. I groan and inhale a sharp breath as I made contact with the ground. I turn my head to see the face of the person on the ground only to find the teenage girl who had spoken to me the other day about whether or not we were going to win the war. Her blue eyes were wide open, but there was no life in them.

I gasp and quickly scramble up to continue running. I feel tears prick my eyes but I quickly try to shake them away.

I see the city lights, but they were a blur because I flailed to hold in the tears.

"Toxic!"
I jerk my head to the direction the voice cam from.

Poison was waving his arms at, motioning for me to come near him.

"There are people still fighting off the dracs. Do you know who set off the bomb?" He panted put.

"No clue. " I whisper.
