Chapter 25: Getting Started.

Toxic Kitten POV:

The sight was incredible. I didn't even know that there were this many killjoys living out in the zones! We are going to need a lot more help than I thought in order to train them all.

I see the hope in Poison's eyes.

Then there was Val, right at the front of the lines.

I know I should be mad at him for the hurtful things he said, but I'm just happy he showed up.

Hopefully Missile Kid is here too.

"Fellow killjoys, we are all gathered here right now as a team, and we forever will be. We have been fighting this corporation for years on end, and it is time to act now. It is time to train, and feel the energy around us," he lifts his arms,"we need to use this energy. We need to shoot like there is no tomorrow, because for some of us, there won't be. Battery City is a dangerous place, and this needs to be taken seriously, but not too seriously. If you want to back out, now is your chance. " he heaved out.

Not a single soul moved.

"This is so damn cool. " Whispered Fun Ghoul.

Kobra Kid decided to speak up," You all need to hold tight for just a second, and the following killjoys need to come inside the barn ; Electric Rose, Cherri Cola, Squinted Noodle, Curly Fry, Vinyl, Vaya, Vamos, and last but not least, Val Velocity. "

The sea of killjoys split for the killjoys who were at the top of the ranks.

The eight of them hurry their way up the ladder, and we head down into the barn while our army waited outside.

One by one, they came in and shook our hand.

Electric have each of us, except Poison, a big hug.

The last person inside was Val, and surprisingly, he shook Poison's hand.

He finally got to me, and gave me an apologetic look. He reached his hand out for me to shake.... but I embrace him in a tight hug, catching him by surprise.

"It's good to see you alive and well, Val." I say.

"Toxic, I'm sor-"

"I forgive you. "

He pulls back and gives me a small smile.

Poison clears his throat, narrowing his eyes at us.

I give him a sheepish smile and we all stand in a circle, Party Poison in the middle.

"So uh, pretty obvious we are going to need a lot of help with a crowd that big." He said, pointing outside.

"I believe that is why we all came in, right?" Vaya, the twin sister of Vamos. She's the one with pink hair.

"Yes, you guys look thin, you can help with the fitness part. " Kobra Kid joked.

Vaya shut her mouth and just nodded.

"So you'll be working with me. " I smile at her.

"Cola, you also work with Toxic. " Poison said."Val, you're with me and Ghoul. Curly Fry and Vinyl will be with Kobra Kid. The rest of you.... just patrol and join in on whatever seems to need help I guess. " he finishes with a wave of a hand.
