Toxic Kitten POV:

The drive back to Zone 6 was a silent drive. There were a few sniffles from Val and Dr. Deathdefying every here and there. But everyone else was quiet, filled with despair.

I was doing pretty well dealing with losing the baby. Mostly because Poison and I were there for each other so we can grieve, but I was starting to be myself again.

My thoughts went back the the Thing that helped my escape Battery City. Always letting me know which way to turn or if a citizen was coming our way. I wondered who the person was. Was it a killjoy spy? Was it a worker who realized Bat City was nothing but a dead scene? Wouldn't one of the guys have told me?

The guys, I didn't get to see Konrad Kid and Jet Star. I didn't say good bye to them all. I don't know if this plan I have in mind will work. I don't know if Cho will torture them once she realizes I am gone.

Fear begins to fill my stomach once I realize how sloppily this was done.

I stare out the window of the van and take a look at the desert I have missed so much.

The sun was setting and left an orange and pink kiss on the sky.

I remember the sky being like this when Party Poison and I got close.

I miss him already.

The van pulls to a stop and I realize we are at the old gas station Dead Pegasus.

Cherri Cola gets out to fill the tank.

The others, besides Val all went inside to see what food or supplies they can scavenge.

"You two coming?" Electric Rose asked

We both just shook our heads and sat in silence.

I feel his eyes on me so I look at him. He opens his mouth, but then quickly snapped it shut.

"If you have something to say then tell me. " I say quietly.

His blue eyes meet my gaze,"How did they take it from you?"

I look to my hands and try to hold back my emotions.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bring the memory back. What about Party Poison. Does he know?" He continued, his voice sounded broken.

"Yeah. He uh, thought it was your baby and not his. But I told him..."

I trailed off as he nodded his head.

"It was a boy. " I Whimpered as tears started to trickle down my cheek.

Val put an arm over my shoulder and no more words were exchanged.

*****. *******. ******.

They ended up finding no supplies, so Cherri Cola just got a couple gallons of gas and we were on our way back home.

Home.

How I longed to be back in my old beat up mattress and believe it or not, eating Power Pup.

I shove my spoon in the can of mush as I rethink my life.

I started out as a girl who fled from the city and didn't belong anywhere. Not even in her own group of killjoys. I felt useless and I was alone. I was terrible at pretty much everything and wasn't living.
