Chapter 13- Shadow Knights

(I just want you to know that ive been outside in the rain trying for two hours trying to frantically get this chapter posted. The wifi here sucks and... Ive not had a good day. But hope you enjoy this chapter.)

Aphmaus POV

"Leave me alone!" A shrill voice yelled from a ways away. I would recognize the voice anywhere. It was the voice that belonged to the only person i had even a remote chance of being able to call my friend. Zane. I was sitting underneath the green leafy waves of the willow tree during my lunch break when i heard Zane yell. I could tell by the sound of his voice that he was in trouble, and he wasn't just messing around. I dropped my book, Inkdeath by Cornelia Funke, and ran to where I believed the sound was coming from. Standing over Zane were three boys.

Gene. He has a brother in our grade, but they seem to be polar opposites. He has black hair, but if the light hits it right, it can look grey. He's dating Sasha, one of the girls that bullies me. Gene is the leader of the Shadow Knights. A horrible gang, dedicated to bringing pain and misery to others.

Zenix. Zenix is a loose cannon. A lot about him is a mystery that not even the Scooby Doo gang could solve. He, unlike the other two members of the Shadow Knights, has brown hair that is completely untamed. Rumor has it, he set fire to his old house and that forced his parents to move here.

Aaron. (No hate towards Jason or Aarmau fans, I just needed another guy, and I might as well. I would use Zane~Senpai because of his MCD behavior, but... You know why i cant do that.) The typical movie dream boat, with dark hair, deep black eyes, and chiseled face, wearing no shirt 24/7, and a scar that runs from his ear to his mouth to give him that bad boy look. Only two problems with this dreamy boyfriend image, 1. Hes taken by Michi, another one of the girls that bully me. And 2. Hes a real jerk with MAJOR temper issues.

"Zane!" I shouted, as I ran in front of Genes fist. It collided hard and sent me sprawling to the ground. The three boys walked away laughing, making Zane jump to my side on the ground.

"Aphmau! Are you ok!? Why in the world would you do that?!" Zane shouted, bringing a gentle hand to my eye, where Gene punched me.

"I didnt want you to get hurt. Im fine. Trust me. Im use to it." I say, standing up and brushing myself off.

"But you barley even know me!" Zane elaborates.

"Yet i feel as if Ive known you a life time."
