Chapter 29- Hallway

(Yes, yes I'm a horrible person. I was incredibly busy, and couldn't get the chapters out. On the bright side, the entire book will be out today!)

Aphmaus POV

I was going back to school today for the first time after the incident with Ivy and Gene. I was unbelievably nervous, but I wasn't alone. Zane and I were walking into school hand in hand, towards my locker. 

"You really don't have to walk with me, Zane. If you always follow me, you'll be late to class." I said. Zane simply shook his head. 

"I'm not taking any chances. I care about you. A lot." Zane stated, making me blush. We walked to my locker, then his. We went to class, and everything was normal. (I hope you don't think it's going to stay that way XD)

"Yes, Aphmau?" Ms. Yachi asked, in response to my hand being raised. 

"May I use the restroom?" She nodded and I began to make my way to the bathroom. I know Zane didn't want me to go anywhere without him, but I can't live in a bubble. I need to pee. Besides, what's the worst that could happen?

"Hello, Aphmau! You must be either an idiot to come out of class without your boyfriend or you have a death wish!" I turned my head to the voice of my nightmares, just as I was about to enter the bathroom. Ivy sat laughing with Gene, Michi, Sasha, Aaron, and Zenix. GREAT THE WHOLE GROUP IS HERE. 

"Didn't we make it clear we didn't want you to come back here?" Gene asked. I walked over to the bathroom quickly, ignoring his question. Michi and Sasha beat me to it though and blocked the bathroom door.

"Why are you still here?" Gene asked again. He backed me against a wall. I couldn't help the scared look that must be on my face right now. 

"Do you know how much of a burden you are to Zane?" My head snapped over to Ivy, who was laughing. 

"Think of everything he does for you. All those times he goes out of his way for you, someone who is better off dead anyway." Zenix chimes in. I could no longer see anyone, due to the tears that were spilling out. What they said made a lot of sense. Zane would be so much better off without me. Come to think of it, he has been worrying about me since the very second we met. Before that even. He... no... everyone, would be so much better off without me.
