Taevy and I stood on the front door step of her home. I had her pressed up against the door, my lips against her. My chest ached a little, but kissing Taevy made me forget about the pain. I didn’t want to leave her, but I had to. We said our final goodbyes for the night, and I headed next door.

As soon as I walked through the front door, Natasha came running over to me, jumping up and down with excitement, holding onto an envelope.

“Guess what came in the mail?” she said.

“What?”

“Your Kesha tickets.”

I grabbed the envelope from my sister, opening it. I pulled out the tickets and screamed with excitement. I hugged Natasha, completely forgetting about the pain on my chest. I yelped and pushed her off me.

“What’s wrong?” she asked.

“Nothing.” I couldn’t tell her about my tattoo. I knew Mum was around here somewhere and I didn’t want her to know just yet.

“What’s all of the excitement?” Mum asked as she walked into the lounge room with her bathrobe on. Her wet hair was hanging loose around her shoulders.

I held up the tickets. “These have arrived.”

“That’s great, Liam. Taevy is going to be so happy once she finds out about them.”

I smiled. “Yeah, she sure will.”

I left the room and walked up the stairs to my room. I put the tickets in my sock draw, hoping Taevy will never find them in there. I took off my shirt and looked in the mirror again, smiling at the tattoo. I ran my fingers over the clear patch that I had to keep on for twenty four hours, tracing the letters with my finger.

“Oh my gosh, you have a tattoo?”

I spun around to see Natasha standing at my door. I quickly pushed the inside and closed the door.

“Shhh, Natasha,” I told her. “I don’t want Mum to know.”

“She is going to find out sooner or later.”

“I know.”

Natasha stared at the tattoo. “What made you get it?”

“Taevy wanted me to get it. She even designed it.”

“It’s nice.”

A knock came from the door and I quickly grabbed a shirt and put it on just in case it was my mother at the door. Natasha opened the door and I sighed with relief to know it was Taevy walking through the door. She was all cheerful. I didn’t even have to ask her what was going on. I knew it was about the snow trip.

“Liam, guess what?” she said. “Dad booked a trip down to Thredbo so I can see the snow.”

I smiled at her. I just love seeing her happy. “I know. I told your dad about how you wanted to see the snow and he organised it all.”

“Oh my gosh, I love you Liam!” Taevy wrapped her arms around my neck and kissed me.

“I’m going to leave before you guys decide to do anything,” Natasha said and walked out.

“I can’t believe you told my dad how I wanted to see the snow,” Taevy said. “You’re the best boyfriend ever. I’m glad we’re together. I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have you.”

“I don’t know what I would do either if I didn’t have you. You’re everything to me.”

Taevy smiled and pushed me over to my bed. She pushed me down and climbed over me, lifting off my shirt and then put her fingers over my tattoo. “I’m really glad I got you to get this.”
