“Oh, I got something for you, Taevy,” Kaelie said the next day after Taevy and I returned home from the Gold Coast. We were sitting at a booth at a restaurant, sharing the pizza we ordered. Josh was also with us.

“Cool. What is it?” Taevy asked, taking a sip of her chocolate thick shake.

“I have the photos that I took at the soccer game.” Kaelie turned to her bag beside her and took out an album full of photos.

I reached across the table and snatched the photos from Kaelie. I sat down and opened it up, flipping through them.

“Hey! Give that back! They are for Taevy’s eyes only.”

“Why? Do you have something there that I shouldn’t know about?” I asked her.

Taevy laughed. Josh put his arm around Kaelie’s waist and made her cuddle up against him. He nibbled her ear.

“Don’t worry, Kaelie,” Josh said. “He just wants to see how much he sucks at playing soccer.” Josh turned to me and smiled to let me know he was just joking.

“Very funny,” I said to him.

“You’re such a jerk, Liam.” Kaelie kicked me hard underneath the table. I yelped, reaching under the table to rub my leg.

“What was that for?” I wanted to know.

“It’s for snatching the photos from me.” She stuck out her tongue.

I was about to stick my tongue out at her and even flipped my finger at her when Taevy leaned her head on my shoulder.

“Let me see some of them,” she said.

I hid the photos behind my back. “No, I want to see them first. I want to see what kind of pictures Kaelie took of my ass. She promised me she will take great pictures of it.”

Kaelie rolled her eyes. “Oh my gosh, Liam. You’re so in love with yourself.” She took a bite of her pizza.

“No, he is just jealous because his ass isn’t sexy as mine,” Josh said, smirking.

I flipped my middle finger up at him.

“I swear that both of you guys are so immature sometimes,” Kaelie told us.

“Aw.” Josh turned to Kaelie and put an arm around her shoulders. “But you love me anyway, don’t you?”

I stared at Kaelie, thinking about the other day when she kissed me and thought that she might be falling for me. She smiled at Josh and I knew that I was right about her not falling for me and that the dream she had was just confusing her. I could see the love she had for Josh in her eyes. She smiled at him and leaned over to kiss him.

“Get a room,” I told them.

Without pulling away from Kaelie or looking at me, Josh flipped his middle finger up at me. Taevy and I laughed a little. She turned to me.

“Can I see the pictures now?” she asked.

I gave her a flirty smile. “No.”

“And why not?”

“Because.”

Taevy put her hand on my thigh and moved it up towards my crotch. I froze, my heart jumping to my throat. She is trying to tease me again. I just know she is. Oh god, I hope she doesn’t tease me. I can’t lose control of myself here.

“If you don’t show me, I will tease you,” she whispered into my ear.

I looked at her and she just smiled. I so badly wanted to lean over to kiss her. But I knew if I started kissing her, I wouldn’t be able to stop. And I can’t do that here in the restaurant.
