"Ok Mrs. Mills you're free to go," the Deputy said as he unlocked the cell she was in. Regina had been put in jail for disturbing the peace while drunk, and also for drunk driving the night before and it appeared someone had bailed her out. She got up from where she was sitting on the hard concrete floor, and walked out of the cell. The officer led her to the front of the sheriffs department and walked her to the person that bailed her out, the one person that caused her to get drunk in the first place. "Oh god what are you doing here?" She asked, rolling her eyes as she took a step back from him. "Apparently saving your ass, again." Robin apologized to the police officer about Regina and led her out of the building and to their car. Robin and Regina had been dating for 4 years, but lately Regina had been acting strange, like she didn't care about anything and would do what ever she wanted when ever, including saying what ever she thought out loud, in public. In all honesty Robin had started to think about breaking up with her, but then he noticed something was going on with her. Something more than just her getting tired of being around him or not wanting him anymore, but something deeper and he needed to be there for her. She would be fine one minute, and then the next she would be screaming at him to leave her alone and that she hated him while tears would run down her face. The night before she was put into jail, they had been sitting on the couch together watching a movie when out of nowhere Regina had started to cry and say how much she wished that she wasn't here, whatever that meant, and how Robin didn't care about her and how he should just leave her. Of course Robin tried to talk to her and figure out what she meant, and that of course he cared about her, but that only made her more upset and she  ended up walking out with her Keys to go somewhere else, as his attempts to try and talk and stop her from leaving failed. He had worried the whole night and got no sleep, and then he had gotten a phone call early in the morning, around 5 or so, from the police telling her she was in their custody.
Now she was sitting in the passenger seat of the car with her back to him, crying again. "Love why are you crying?" He asked not wanting to scold her about going to jail and make the situation worse. She didn't answer him so he grabbed her hand and tried again. "Darling what's wrong? Is it about what happened with the jail?"
She nodded her head no but continued to stay silent. "Then what's wrong? Regina please talk to me, I'm here for you. You know that, and you can talk to me about anything." She turned her head to look at her, and he saw the pain she was feeling in her tear stained eyes. "I don't want to tell you. Y-you're g-gonna hate me a-and think of m-me different." She choked out as she started to cry even harder. "No I won't Regina. It's ok you can talk to me." He was still holding onto her hand so he squeezed it In reassurance that she could trust him. " I d-don't wanna l-live anymore Robin. T-there's no p-point." After she said that it clicked in robins mind what was going on. When she was younger, in her teens, she had battled with depression, and he guessed it was making a comeback now with the way she had been acting. She hadn't been happy it seemed like at all, and he could tell she was very upset all the time. Robin decided to pull over on the side of the road so he could comfort her. She was crying really hard now and couldn't even form words to talk, and he knew she needed him more than she needed to get home. He got out of the drivers side and walked over to her side and opened the door. He unbuckle the seatbelt for her and enveloped her into a hug. She wrapped her arms around his neck as she cried into the crook ,of his neck. "It's ok baby, you're ok. I'm right here. I'll always be here for you." He kissed the side of her head and held her tight as she cried against him. After a few moments, she started to calm down and she let go of him. "I'm sorry," she said looking away from him and buckling her seatbelt again. "Regina, don't ever apologize for that, There's nothing to be sorry for. I should be saying sorry for not being the man you could confide In these last few weeks. I love you Regina mills," Robin said grabbing her chin and placing a quick kiss on her lips before going back to the drivers side of the car. "I love you too Robin Locksley." She said back giving him a soft smile and put her hand into his, as he drove them back to their house.
