It's... Peyton.

I rush over to give her a hug and completely forget about the fact that we are fighting right now. Peyton cries into my shoulders for a while before she finally stops sniffling.

"Pey, what's wrong honey?" It feels good to call her by the nickname I gave her. It's been less then a week since the whole Starbucks fiasco, but it feels like it's been years since I've lasted talked to Peyton. I forgot about how good of a friend she really was.

"J-Jamie... She called me a bitch when I went to go find Eliza and apologize, but then that guy took Eliza..."

Wait. What?!

"Wait start over. You went to go apologize to Eliza and..." I pressed.

"And Jamie got mad at me and said that I shouldn't apologize to rivals. I just felt so bad because I would never say that b-but Jamie is rubbing off on me... And cheerleaders who aren't on l-level five are amazing athletes too and..." She trailed off and tears drip down her already red cheeks. I gave her a big hug and let her cry for a few moments before asking:

"So what happened to Eliza? Because I can't find her anywhere!"

"Well she was talking to this cute older guy by the fried dough stand and then he grabbed her arm and pulled her away and they went into the woods but they never came back out... So I ran in there because I wanted to get away from Jamie and find Eliza but I still haven't found her." She began sobbing some more and suddenly starting throwing rocks at the trees.

"It's all my fault! I should have never let her leave with that guy!" She wailed, her cheeks streaked with hot, angry tears. I comforted her for a few more minutes and then decided that we were to go find Eliza and get this whole mess straightened out.
