I opened the door and welcomed Matt inside. He was carrying a bouquet of roses and was blushing awkwardly. He stepped aside and ran a hand through his tousled brown hair.

"You look stunning Summer," he said with a hint of a nervous smile. "And these are for you," he thrust the roses at me. I took them and inhaled their sweet scent.

"Thank you Matt. These are gorgeous," I grabbed his hand and squeezed it in mind. Then I left for a moment to put the flowers in a vase. My mom noticed me come into the kitchen, and left from her lounge chair in the living room.

"That date is today Summer?" She asked, taking the flowers from me and putting them in a glass vase. I nodded and twirled around in my dress.

"You look so beautiful Summer. All grown up." Mom said, giving me a tight hug. I embraced her and breathed in the sweet smell of lilac and vanilla perfume that she always wore. Matt made a whistling sound and I said,

"Sorry Mom I gotta go! But thanks so much." Then I have her one last smile and disappeared back over to Matt. He looked absolutely adorable. My knees went week just thinking that I could be holding his hand today. How could Carly break up with such a sweetheart?

"Are you ready to go?" Matt asked, snapping me out of my daydream. I nodded and followed him outside. A huge black limo was waiting in our driveway and a chauffeur was holding open the door.

"Welcome aboard madam." He said, beckoning me inside. I gasped out loud. There was a fold-up table set up between Matt and I's seats with two [fake] candles and rose petals scattered all over the top. There was two slices of yellow cake with chocolate frosting sitting on each of our plates, and there was even a cooler with soda and water and what ever else we wanted.

"Matt this is incredible!" I say, giving him a huge hug. He's tense at first, but then looses up and squeezes me back.

"I thought maybe we could use a bite to eat before we watch the movie." He says with a blush. The driver called back and asked if we were ready to go, and we told him yes. When the car began moving, you couldn't even tell. Nothing wobbled or shook, and everything was just perfect.

"This is the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me." I say to Matt. Just then he leans across the table and takes my face in his hand.

"It's all for you baby," he says, brushing my face.
