Chapter Two- Fame Begins ✅

Chapter Two

It is Tuesday morning and I've just woken up. The first thing I think of is seeing Jai, but I know I won't be able to because his day will be full of interviews and talk shows. I leant over to my dresser and picked up the TV remote. I flicked it to channel 7 to watch Sunrise like I do every morning. sure enough, I saw Jai on the screen, talking with the two hosts of the show. I noticed that Jai was blushing. What were they talking about?

The female host spoke.

"So you created a twitter and Facebook meltdown last night when you kissed your girlfriend after the performance! Was that part of the act?"

Jai blushed deeply and then spoke.

"No, it wasn't planned. It just felt right at that moment, so we had our first kiss."

"Aaw, young love" The male host said.

"Yes, young love's right! You are 14 and you had your first kiss on live television! Can you tell us a bit about your girlfriend?" The female host asked.

Jai's face lit up.

"Yeah, her name is Gem, she is 14 and we've been together for a couple of months. In case you are watching Gem, I love you!"

I blushed and giggled a little bit. I grabbed my phone and hopped onto twitter to do a post. Wow, I had gotten over 400 followers overnight!

I typed up a post and tagged Sunrise in it, so that it would show up on the TV in the 'Sunrise Tweets' box. I hit the 'post' button. Just under a minute later, the hosts said that I had tweeted and they showed the tweet on the screen behind them.

The female host made an 'Aaaw' sound and Jai was grinning from ear to ear. It looked like the hosts were getting something through their ear pieces and it seemed like they were running overtime.

The male host spoke.

"Well Thank you Jai for coming today, and congratulations on being the X Factor Australia 2013 Winner!"

"Thanks for having me here!"

Jai said.

" Make sure you look out for Jai's debut single 'Don't Leave Me' coming soon!" The female host exclaimed.

The show logo appeared and then the screen faded out.

My phone trilled and I picked it up. I had one new message.

Getting out of the studio now, next show at 9:30. You up for Brekky at mine? xx Jai

I smiled to myself. Seeing the xx on the end just made me think about the kiss again, which made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Yup sure! Ill be over in 15 xx Gem

I typed back.

It was a lucky thing we only lived four houses away from each other!

I showered and put on my classic denim skinny jeans with the rolled up bottoms, my knitted jumper, and a pair of vans. Finally, I did quick makeup, only doing touch ups where I needed them, and I put my wavy hair into a ponytail.

I felt so lucky that I could just be myself around Jai, I didn't feel like I needed to look perfect.

I walked around to Jai's place and rang the doorbell. His mum answered and let me in right away. I saw Jai sitting at the white bench having a hot chocolate. I loved how childish he was. I walked over and sat down next to him.

We both awkwardly said hi at the same time and then laughed. He kissed me on the cheek and I blushed. Then he put on a funny accent and said

"Would you like a hot chocolate, madam?"

I replied yes giggling and we both spent the next hour just laughing, chatting and being ourselves.

Suddenly Jai's mum came into the room and kind of nodded to Jai.

Jai looked nervous and then very serious.

"Um, Gem, I have to ask you a serious question."
