Chapter Thirty-Two- Meet The Family

3 DAYS LATER AT THE APARTMENT

"Okay, Jai, please take care of yourself while I'm coming." Jai's aunt says through the phone.

"I will, you take care as well." Jai replies.

"Thanks Hun, love you, bye."

"Bye." Jai ends the phone call and wipes his face with his hands. He just told his aunt the news about his mum, and also asked If she would be able to take care of us. She said she could, and in half an hours she will pick us up to take us back to her house.

"So what's your aunts name?" I ask.

"Samantha, but you can just call her Sam." Jai replies.

"Okay. So, should we start packing?" I ask in a gentle voice.

"Yeah, I guess so." He says. I give him a reassuring kiss and then hop up off the couch. Making my way to my room, I turn to see Jai still sitting down, staring into space. I turn back and keep going to my room. There's no point talking with Jai right now, he's sensitive and moody- kind of like when I'm in 'that time of the month'.

I walk into my room to see everyone where I left it three days ago, yet it looks so different. The bright white walks seem dull and sad, and the view of Melbourne seems dilapidated and dead. The apartment Has lost it's joyful atmosphere, and everything is full of melancholy.

I reach into my closet and pull out my clothes, placing them in my suitcase. Just as I am about to grab more, a hear a faint sound. Walking out into the living room, I see Jai still sitting on the couch. I walk around to him to see more tears streaming down his face. Sitting next to him, I wrap my arms around him and let him cry into my shoulder.

"Jai, it will a-" I start.

"Gem, please, don't speak." Jai says quietly.

"Just kiss me." He adds.

So I do.

I wrap my arms around his neck and I kiss him.

He kisses back, letting out all the emotions he has kept bottled up inside. He gently pushes me down onto the couch, so he is not resting, but hovering on top of me. I run my hands through his hair and he places his hand on the small of my back. His lips break apart from the kiss and he peppers kisses down my neck, gently sucking on some places. I do the same to him. I attempt to roll on top of him, to flip us around, but it fails miserably as we both roll onto the floor. We both laugh light-heartily and Jai helps me up. As soon as I'm up, Jai lifts me and I wrap my legs around his waist. He carries me into his room and onto the bed. Rolling next to me, Jai plays with my hair and then embraces me in a tight hug. We stay that way, staring into eachothers eyes for a few moments. Then I give him one last kiss and pull away.

"We really need to pack." I say quietly.

"I know." Jai replies, and he rolls off the bed and begins to pack. I go back to my room and do the same.

30 MINUTES LATER

I hear a knock on the door.

"Coming!" Jai calls out, andI see him him go to the door. Jai unlocks and opens the door to see a beautiful lady standing behind it.

"Sam!" Jai calls happily and gives the lady a hug.

"How are you, hun? Where's this gorgeous girlfriend of yours?" Sam asks. I can see Jai blushing.

"Gem!" He calls, and I come out of my room with a shy smile. Sam embraces in a warm hug.

"How are you, dahl?" She asks politely.

"I'm alright thanks." I reply with a smile.

"You've got yourself a keeper, Jai! She's beautiful." Sam says to Jai. We both blush.

"Yeah I know." Jai says, grinning. He kisses me on the cheek.

"Okay, well are you two ready to go?" Sam asks and Jai and I nod.

We load our luggage into Sam's car, and in no time we arrive at the house.

It is a huge house with cream walls and beautiful archways- it's obviously very old. We walk into a room with several people sitting down, and they all look at us as we enter.

"Well, time to meet the family!" Sam exclaims.
