1 YEAR LATER
My head spins as I sit up in bed. The sound of the alarm clock still rings beside me and I reach over to wake up Jai. As his eyes slowly open, I lay back down in bed and hit the snooze button on the clock.
"Good morning beautiful." Jai says with a flirty smile. He puckers up his lips.
"Do I get a good morning kiss?" He asks cheekily.
"No, and ew, what about morning breath?!" I say incredulously.
"I better get a kiss later then." Jai says, smiling, as he rolls over onto his side to face me. As my brain wakes up I realise how much Jai and I have to do this week. I disappointed sigh escapes my lips.
"What's up?" Jai asks quietly.
"Just thinking about everything we have to do this week." I say.
"I know." He replies, knowing exactly what I am talking about. He lazily slips his arm behind my back, bringing me into a kind of hug.
"I've never planned a funeral before." I say quietly.
"I know, me neither." Jai replies, kissing my head.
