Royal Bedroom

Palais de Genovia

Principalité de Genovia

This is getting weirder every time I talk to somebody. I was laying in bed, looking for the remote to switch the TV on so I could see anything on Netflix, when Rocky came into the bedroom crying desperately. He ran to me and jumped on my bed, held me very tight, so I could barely breathe.

“Hey, Rocky. What’s the matter? Why are you crying?” I didn’t get an answer, so I started playing with his hair to calm him down, while I sang a song very softly. “Rocky? Are you alright?”

Suddenly I heard him sniffling and he managed to speak. “Don’t die, Mia. I don’t want you to die. If you have to sleep I’ll watch you so no one can disturb you. I won’t let anything bad happen to you.” As he said that, he started crying even louder.

I was stunned by his words. “Why would I be dying, Rocky? I’m okay. I’m just pregnant, like mom has been, or like any women who has ever had kids. It’s okay, you know? It’s natural.”

“You’re lying! You don’t want to say the truth so I don’t feel bad, but I know what’s happening! I’m not stupid. I’m all grown up, so I can figure things out myself. And you never say no to royal duties, so you won’t say no to Clarisse so you don’t tire yourself out.” I started to feel confused. Where had he heard all that? I’m sure he wouldn’t say a bad word about Grandmère, though he wasn’t related to her at all.

“Who told you that? I’m fine, I’m not lying to anyone.” I answered to calm him down a little.

“They were saying it! I heard it! I’m not making up any story!” And then he stood up and ran out of my room, leaving me all confused. I don’t really understand what’s just happened. I’m going to ask mom for some explanations when she’s back.

Oh! I hear someone knocking on the door. It must be her. Finally someone will explain me what Rocky was saying!
