Limo on our way home
Principalité de Genovia
I had a few more contractions, this time three of them, fifteen minutes apart. The Drs. Moscovitz and Logan (who happens to be an ob-gyn) that I must have begun first stage of labor: early labor.
Michael panicked, even though he has read all the pregnancy books in the world these months, he’s been to every single delivery class there has been. He’s more prepared than me, but he panicked, because he forgot this is a really long stage and that I’m probably not giving birth before tomorrow.
When Logan told him all of this, he started breathing normally again, sat down and just took my hand and squeezed it gently.
After Logan asked me a few questions like what number I’d give the pain I felt, 1 being the lowest and 10 the highest (I said a 5) and whether I had had Braxton Hicks contractions during the pregnancy (I answered yes, of course), he told us that I’d probably have another eight or nine hours before active labor actually started, but that it could be more or less, depending on my body. Still, we decided that going home would be the best thing now.
He recommended me to get some sleep if I could, eat a few little snacks and note when I contracted. He’s really nice to me, and he told me that I could call him whenever I needed something. Lil and the Drs. Moscovitz also told me so, but I’m used to that and Logan doesn’t know me.
Wow… He was right. I’m getting a little tired.
