Finally I’m back here! I just arrived from the hospital.

So, yesterday, after all that excitement with Tina and Boris having a baby, I suddenly felt like I was having Braxton Hicks contractions, only much longer and more painful. I screamed from pain, and all of them except Michael were immediately next to me, concerned and asking what happened. Michael just laughed and said that I had put on that show to him before, while preparing the nursery, and that they shouldn’t fall for that. But after like a minute, after seeing it didn’t stop, he rushed by my side.

“What’s up, Mia?”

This was absolutely stupid, as I couldn’t even speak, so I just shook my head in tears.

“Is it a contraction?” Tina asked. This time, I nodded.

She gave me a glass of water and commanded me to drink a few sips. Then, she asked whether I felt any better, to which I answered shaking no with my head.

“Is it starting?” Michael asked worried.

“It seems like it is. To the hospital, now.” She took my hand with strength. Michael carried me in bridal style. Boris and Lilly followed us, Boris in deep silence and Lilly muttering, as usual. I don’t know what she was saying, and I actually don’t really care.

Well, Tina called Dr. Blanc on our way to the hospital (which is really close to the Palace), so she was already prepared in the lobby waiting for us when we arrived. She immediately took us to a private room to stay during the rest of labor. Suddenly, the pain, which had become less strong, disappeared. Dr. Blanc started checking if everything was alright and it turned out I wasn’t even in labor! It was “only” preparing or Braxton Hicks contractions, which is weird that we didn’t notice, as I’ve experienced them earlier. The good news is I have a few more days to settle to the idea of being a mother; the bad news is that moments like this one could be frequent these days until I start with early labor. So I’ll be in total pain these days.

Dr. Blanc made me stay at the hospital for a night, just to make sure she didn’t make a wrong diagnose.

And now I’m finally home again. I’m actually exhausted. I slept a bit tonight, but those beds are nothing compared to mine, and I didn’t really rest. I think I’m going to sleep a bit before doing anything else.
