Olivia came to spend some time here after school. She told me all about what she learned today and she made her homework here. I have the impression that Mom and Dad sent her here so she could entertain me a bit, as I can’t really do anything right now.

Well, the thing is that I helped her a bit with her French, English and Literature homework, when she got to Math. I don’t have a clue what that was about, but she did fine. She actually loves Math. I asked her what she wants to study.

“I don’t know. Maybe something related to Art, like Art History or something.”

“But you’re really good at Math. Not that you’re not a good artist, you totally are, but…”

“I know what you mean. Yes, I guess I could do something related with Math. I’ve never really thought about it. I’ve still got five years to figure it out!”

“Yeah, that’s right.”

When she finished her Math homework (and everything else related to science), and she was making some drawing for Art class, she had an idea.

“Let me paint a portrait of you!” She suddenly shouted.

“A portrait? Why don’t you just finish your homework?”

“I already did!”

“Oh yeah? And what’s that you’re doing there?”

“That’s what we’re supposed to do tomorrow in class. Please!”

“Alright…” I sighed.

And then she started drawing me. I got bored quickly, so I asked her if I could do something meanwhile. And, as she didn’t mind, I wrote a bit of my novel, but I wasn’t really inspired, so I quit and read a few chapters of the book Tina brought me. It’s called “Anna and the French kiss”. I didn’t think I’d like it, but after the first chapters it really got me.

So, basically, I spent the time reading while Olivia spent the afternoon drawing.

About a half an hour ago, Dad came in to ask Olivia if she minded having dinner here with us instead of home, in the Summer Palace. She said she’d love to, when Dad saw the portrait. To make a long story short, he liked it so much he said it could be my first official portrait, and Olivia’s cheeks went red and she thanked him a million times.

I guess she’ll go for art later, as she’ll probably never have to reign (hopefully).

Michael’s here. They’re calling us for dinner.
