Lilly, Tina, and Boris came to see me this afternoon.
Tina brought me some books to read while I have to stay here. All of them are typical Tina books, of course.
I'm so thankful to her for these, because it seems like I have a lot of time left here, and I'll need some distraction
Tina actually looked a bit tense, and so did Boris, but when I asked them, they acted like they didn't know what I was talking about, though it seemed to me like they perfectly knew.
Wait... what if something's wrong and Tina (obviously) knows and she told Boris (though she would be violating the ethic code of doctors)?
No, this can't be. I must be looking too much into things, as usual. But why wouldn't they tell me otherwise?
Oh, well... I should let it go, I guess.
Mom and Dad came with Olivia and Rocky later this afternoon, too.
Dad signed today the papers so he will be the reigning Prince while I'm on maternity leave, and not Olivia, who should be doing it, as she's the next in line.
Olivia seemed oblivious of everything happening around her and showed me a couple of her drawings she's made for art class. It seems like she's not only good at drawing animals, but also at drawing any other thing related to nature. I guess my sister's a born artist.
Rocky, otherwise, tried to impress me with his new skills in French. He didn't get to take French class back in New York, but he understood it perfectly because of Grandmère and me, basically. I have to say that he's improving a lot. I just hope he doesn't learn too quickly how to swear in French, just like I did, or he'll get in trouble with Grandmère (also, just like I did).
Talking of which, she's the only one no one knows anything about. I mean, Mamaw and Papaw called from Versailles. They wanted to come (no surprise) but Mom told them I had to rest (which is true), so I wouldn't be able to receive any guests. The Drs. Moscovitz are staying in the Palace, but Michael told them they couldn't come over today, so they're coming tomorrow. Everybody called, except Grandmère. Nice move.
So... now I'm alone with Michael, the only one who's allowed to stay in here at night. He's got a separate bed, though. Nevertheless, he's lying in my bed and kissing me on my neck, which, by the way, tickles a bit, because he didn't shave today.
"Michael..."
"Hmm..." He's so tired, poor guy...
"It's not very appropriate for a Prince not to shave for a whole day, you know?"
"Nobody's gonna see me, sweetie." He's so damned cute!!
"But yet, you can't risk it being seen like this."
"God, you sound just like Clarisse!" Uh, oh, I annoyed him. Why wouldn't I just let him sleep?
"Yeah, do you know something about her?"
"I heard Lars say that she's been with her lover De La Rive all week. She came on Monday, basically to be with you while your parents came, actually, and to explain what happened." He was fully awake with this.
"Oh, no."
"What do you mean, oh no?"
"She won't want to marry him, right? Please tell me they're not going to get married!"
"And you care because?"
"Because I'm the Princess?"
"Correction. Your Dad is Prince. At least until 30th June next year. You don't have to care about a thing but for us, your family."
He kissed me softly. Then more passionate. And then, I cursed everything, because I wanted more. And I know he wanted more. But we couldn't.
Please, I need to get out of here!
