Imagine being Blibo's younger sister and coming back from a holiday from Tookborough and finding the house empty with a note on your bedside table from him. You then decide to chase after him and become a silent stalker of the company until the night with the orcs screaming (when balin told the story about moria) and you sneak over to Bilbo and sleeps in his bedroll to make you feel safer and waking up to find a load of weapons pointing at you and having to explain yourself and refuse to go back on your own.
