Imagine being the Queen of Erebor and being extremely bored and, whilst talking to your maids and servants you discover that nearly everyone is just as bored as you so you throw a huge party that the king knows nothing about and he walks in in the middle of it and you have to explain that everyone was bored so yiu decoded to lighten the mood. He understands and he makes it a biannual thing.
