Imagine staying up all night to prepare a massive prank on the dwarves but by morning, when it is actually time for the prank to unfold you can't stay awake long enough to watch the chaos you caused. When the dwarves find out it is you they refuse to let you sleep until the next night (after two rounds of watch duty) as payback.
