Imagine, during the time that Gandalf was actually dead, you receive his power (because it had to go somewhere) and not knowing what to do with it. You accidently blow up one of the boats (thankfully, you were at the falls of rauros) and Legolas and Aragon have to restrain you because you keep panicking, which causes you to shake you hands I front of your face, until you calm down. They keep your hands tied until they think you're safe and you discover that the powers are gone. You don't know what this means, but you keep it to yourself.
