Imagine a spell going wrong when Gandalf was trying to put a protective warden he camp and it backfiring, causing everyone to become children (Gandalf included). One of the dwarves comes back from where they were relieving themselves and notices that everyone is de-aged and he freaks out. Especially at the toddler Gandalf.
