Imagine Beren and Luthien hearing about the events happening in Middle-Earth during LOTR and kick up such a fuss that Illuvatar eventually sends them back to help sort things out, but making them swear that this is their last reincarnation and they'll have to just deal with it after that. When they come back (completely freaking out the Fellowship by appearing in a sudden burst of light) chaos ensues until everything is finally sorted out and Aragorn and Legolas both have massive fanboy moments.
Perhaps Luthien could meet Arwen, seeing as they are both said to be the most beautiful beings in Arda at their times. Plus, Arwen is Luthien's Great-Great-granddaughter. (And Beren and Luthien are also distant ancestors of Aragorn).
