Chapter 3

*Lonnie P.O.V*

     I don't know what is wrong with me. Lately I've been curious to know what's it like to be with a dude. I seriously need help. I kissed Japree and the feeling was amazing, but why did I feel so guilty afterwards? BJ fucked with Japree, but BJ is in a relationship with my sister now. He can't get mad if I slide into Japree, his life I meant. I swear my brothers' gayness has rubbed off on me...

     " Hey dad? " I interrupted walking into the garage.

" What's going on son? " He responds while lifting his weights.

     " You know the talk you had with Brenden when you found out his... Situation? " I asked skeptically.

He glances up at me with an eyebrow arched. " Yeah. " he says putting the weight down.

     " I need that talk dad. " I respond.

" Oh...Wow. " He answers flabbergasted. " Why the sudden interest? " He asks sitting foward towards his knees.

     " I don't know. " I start pacing back and forth. " There is this boy, and lately being around Brenden and Maeko has had me wondering... "I finish finally sitting down.

" Well son, I can't object to how you feel. I can only listen. I'll accept you no matter what. To tell you the truth I went through a phase in high school too. " Dad explains.

     " Really? " I ask questionably.

" Yeah, Then your mom came around, and I knew I wanted to be with her. You know your uncle Jeffrey? " He asks

     " Yeah, I though he wasn't our uncle. Just your close friend. " I respond.

" He isn't, but he is the one I experimented with. " He says chuckling.

     " What? How are you two still friends? " I asked really engaged to know.

" Because even though we tried to make something out of nothing we knew our boundaries, and chose not let feelings get wrapped up into what we were doing. " he explains. " It'll all make sense in the end. "

     " What does that mean Dad? " I ask standing up.

" Follow your heart. If that is what you feel you should do. Do it. It will all make sense in the end. " He says standing up to hug me.

     " Thanks Dad. " I say accepting the hug.

*Maeko P.O.V*

     I take a deep breath contemplating on if I wanted to enter this room or not. I turned around, and began to walk back to the elevator, when I heard Dino's door open. It was a nurse leaving his room with a hamper of dirty clothes. I quickly hide behind the wall, and waited for her to walk away. I look around before coming out, and I walk back down to his door. I stand there and breath in and out to prepare myself for what's to come. Then, Dino's door opened, and I was face to face with the one person who I missed.

" Who are you and what are you doing outside of my door? " Dino asks crushing my heart.

     " I uh.. Um.. You don't know me? " I ask as more a question than a statement.

" No. Do I? " He asks.

     " May I come in? " I ask.

He looks at me skeptically then limps backwards on his crutches. " I guess. "

     I walk in analyzing him. He was on crutches, his body had become skinny and frail, his skin had lost his pigment, the bags around his eyes were deep, and his lips were white no matter how much he licked them. It was still two questions on my mind.
