MEETING SIRIUS BLACK
"Good morning!" She said happily to the whole Slytherin common room. She walked out of the dungeon and up to the great hall. Their first week had passed and there wasn't much excitement. She sat next to Draco.
"Hey. School! Not very fun is it?" She looked at him.
"Yeh. Not really. Who would appoint a big hairy oaf to teach creatures? My arm still hurts from the agony."
"Oh. I didn't take that subject. I'm liking defence against the dark arts though. That professor knows his stuff."
"Ha! Yeh right. It's all well easy." Draco got up ad left. Kerry sat in silence and stared at Professor Lupin for a while. She liked him. Better than most other teachers, except Severus, she liked him the best.
Kerry went to her first lesson which was potions. She was the first there and Severus was at his desk.
"Good morning Severus." She smiled at him.
"Yes yes. It's professor thank you Kerry. Your not at home now."
"Sorry Severus." She hopped to her seat and sat down. The other students started filing in.
"That's enough! Settle down!" But Kerry had drifted into a dream world. She thought about her class afterwards, Severus would help her with her animagus handling. Then she thought about Sirius Black. He didn't scare her. He was after silly Harry Potter. Maybe he would break into the school.
"Kerry Yaxley! Are you listening?"
"No, not really." She muttered then looked up. "Oh yeah, of course sir."
"Good. Now, the truth serum is very powerful and-" she had gone again. This time she had fallen asleep.
"OK! Pack up your things!" Kerry woke up and grabbed her bag and stood up. She looked around and no one was there. "Having a nice nap were we Kerry?"
"I'm sorry Severus. I didn't get much sleep. Can we do my lesson now?"
"Don't do that again! Yes we can start."
An hour of transforming and Kerry was nearly dead on her feet.
"I've had enough Severus. I'm too tired."
"We have another hour Kerry. But I see that you are tired. We shall leave it here for now. Off you go." Kerry wondered out of the room and into the common room. She fell back into a chair and fell to sleep.
******
"Kerry!" She was shaken awake. She looked up and saw Severus Snape standing over her.
"Wha? What?" Kerry stuttered.
"Kerry. You have been asleep in my class again!"
"Oh. S-sorry Severus." Kerry got up and went to leave.
"What do you think you are doing?" Severus walked in front of her.
"Well, I'm pretty tired so I think I'll miss charms today."
"Oh really. Well you can spend that time with me then, writing lines!" Severus used his wand and wrote, 'I must always be alert in order to succeed' on the board.
"But Severus! I was going to go and sleep! You can't deprive me of that."
"Sit down Kerry, or I may give you detention, and I don't want to do that." He sneered and sat back behind his desk.
"Damn tiredness. I wish I never had to be tired. Stupid lines, 'I think I'll miss charms' how stupid was I?" She muttered to herself.
After two hours of lines and a very painful wrist, Kerry got up and threw the paper at Severus.
"Finished. I'm going to leave now."
"Kerry, come here." Kerry moaned about her wrist and walked towards him.
"What now?" Severus grabbed her wrist.
"Ow!" She tried to pull it away. He took out his wand and tapped her wrist.
"Episkey." He muttered. He let go.
"You may leave."
"Thanks Severus." Kerry left the room. She saw Pansy Parkinson run up to her.
"Hey Pansy. What's up?"
"Sirius Black! He has tried to get into the Griffindor common room! Tried but failed unfortunately. I hope he gets that Harry Potter soon." She then ran away again. Kerry ran down the corridor and down to the main entrance. She hid behind a wall and then slipped out of the door.
It was rather cold as it was getting to the end of October. She ran and transformed into her lynx animagus. She ran into the Forrest and just kept on running. She slowed down as she heard something near her move. She stood still and didn't move.
Out came a large black dog from behind a tree. Kerry wasn't scared, she was a lynx. Then suddenly the dog transformed.
"Sirius Black!" Kerry thought. "What do I do?"
"A lynx in the forbidden Forrest. What a change. Reveal yourself!" Sirius ordered. Kerry became slightly scared but did as he said.
Sirius stared at the young girl who stood in front of him. She had black long hair and was slightly wavy. Her eyes were grey and she had light skin.
"What is your name, young girl?" Sirius stepped closer. Kerry stepped back.
"I-I'm K-Kerry sir." She stepped back further and tripped. She squealed as she fell onto her back. "Please don't hurt me. I can help you if you want."
He rushed over to her, grabbed her hand and pulled her up.
"I don't need help. I won't hurt you either. Everyone has the totally wrong impression of me. I didn't give the Potters' location to Voldamort." She stared at him.
"I don't care about Harry Potter! He is a Griffindor and I hate him anyway." Kerry sneered.
"You shouldn't hate someone unless you have good reason, Kerry. Let me guess, you are in Slytherin."
"Well done. I bet you were as well."
"No actually. I was Griffindor and I was proud to be, my parents were not happy though."
"Well I should go." She ran for it and panicked herself. She kept looking back and saw the dog chasing her.
"Leave me alone!" She screamed. "Let me go!" She didn't know where to run and finally she fell. Crack! She had hit her head on a rock. Down came darkness.
She began to open her eyes and she weakly saw a man carrying her. She was too weak to react but knew that it was Sirius Black. She felt herself be lain down and heard three sharp bangs on a door, then running.
The door opened with a large creak and someone gasped. The man with the black greasy shoulder length hair called out.
"Headmaster! Kerry is badly hurt. How she got here I don't know." She saw a blurry outline of Dumbledore but couldn't open her eyes properly. Darkness swept her away again.
