Chapter Eight

MERRY CHRISTMAS SIRIUS

It was Christmas Eve and Kerry ad Draco sat in the Slytherin common room and were only with one other student, a first year called Robby.

"Are you excited for tomorrow Draco?"

"Yeh, it should be good. I heard that there are only like 4 other students here. That first year over there, a hufflepuff 2nd year, Colin Creavey from Griffindor and a Griffindor girl."

"That should be cool. I'm glad Potter isn't here! Him and Weasley spent the last two Christmas' at Hogwarts. At least we can spend time together. I'm going to see Sirius later and I need to post my presents, can I use your big owl?"

"Yeh sure. Your out of your mind seeing Black! He might not be your father! He might kill you tonight! Christmas Eve!"

"Don't be silly Draco! He's fine. He's innocent. He shall prove it soon, don't you worry. Lets go up to the owlery."

They made their way up their and slipped a bit on the icy ground. They both just laughed and carried on.

"Asquith!" Draco held out his arm and a large grey owl swooped down onto it. "Here, ooh wait a minute." He pointed his wand at the parcels and said. "Feather-light." The parcels went to the wight of nothing and Kerry attached them to Asquith's legs.

"Thank you Asquith, and you Draco." They watched as the bird flew away. "Let's go then. What time is it?" Draco looked.

"It's 6." She turned around kissed Draco on the cheek gave him and hug and ran.

"Sorry, I'm meeting Sirius! See you later, I can't afford to be out after hours." She ran and transformed at the line of trees. She ran to the meeting spot and saw Sirius waiting. She became human again.

"Hey! I have a present for you!" She walked towards him and sat down.

"I have a present for you also! Don't open it until morning though!" He said whilst smiling. They exchanged gifts. She gave him a blue gift with sparkles on the paper.

"That looks great Kerry. Thank you. Ill open it tomorrow as well." He set it aside as did Kerry. "I've been thinking and watching. Harry and his friends go down to Hagrid's a lot. He takes his rat as well. Maybe I could catch them on their way back up to the castle one day."

"Don't! You'll get caught! He's lost his stupid rat anyway. Ha! I think the mudbloods cat has eaten it."

"Don't use that language! Do you really think that the rat is dead?"

"Dunno. It's probably ran away, who would want to stay with the Weasleys?" Sirius thought for minute.

"Yes, it's probably gone into hiding." He muttered.

"What I didn't catch that."

"Oh. I said yes. Its probably ran away." He answered and gave her a reassuring smile. "Is your mother ready for Christmas?"

"I think so. I haven't seen her since the weekend. Im allowed to go down there because I live in Hogsmeade. I'm excited. Me and Draco are spending time together."

"A Malfoy? Bad company they are." Said Sirius.

"He's my boyfriend actually. We've been friends since first year as well." Sirius' face was screwed up in disgust.

"Oh. You have a boyfriend now. Far too young for that you know!"

"Oh shut up." She punched him in the arm and they both laughed for a while. "We love each other!"

"Yeah right. At your age you don't know what love is!" He said with a bark like laugh.

"Well whatever I feel is good enough for both of us. God it's nearly eight! I'm sorry but I've got to go. Merry Christmas!" With a kiss on the cheek she fled.
