The days were going well for Kerry. Easter had just ended but she felt happy that the end of the school year was drawing closer. Her and Draco had split but she didn't feel as bothered as she thought she would.
She and Inigo were great friends and she felt that she didn't need anyone else to be around. She felt that she didn't need to be popular.
"So Inigo. Exams are coming up." Kerry spoke one morning at breakfast.
"Yes. I gathered. And your point is?" He chuckled. Kerry shrugged.
"I don't know. I just thought id remind you. If your ment to guard me, or whatever. Then you need to pass into the next year don't you." She smiled at him.
"That's very true. But, I got outstanding in all my essays this year and one exceeds expectations. So I think I'll be fine." He laughed.
"Jeez, I didn't know you were a know-it-all." She muttered and carried on eating.
"Come on then. We need to get to transfiguration." Inigo spoke as he stood up.
"Yeh yeh. We don't have to be early you know." Kerry smiled but got up and followed him anyway.
"I like the be on time Kerry. I have to get outstanding on everything this year, or my guardianship will be removed." He sighed. Kerry snorted.
"That's not fair! So you have to leave school if you don't get outstanding?" He nodded and they both walked in silence for a few minutes.
"Soo, are you doing anything after classes?" Inigo suddenly asked. Kerry shrugged and carried on walking.
"Not that I know of. But it is a lovely day, I might go outside for a bit."
"That's a good idea. Mind if I join you? I might have a couple of books with me though." He smiled. Kerry got lost in his eyes for a couple of seconds, but then coughed and nodded.
"Sure, yeh. Books are fine." They arrived at the Transfiguration classroom and only the Gryffindors were really there. Including the Golden Trio. They stared at Kerry and her new friend, slightly confused.
"What are you staring at?" She snapped and glared at them. Her and Inigo found a table near the middle and sat down.
"You know, I wouldn't be friends with her if I were you. Bad company right there." Kerry heard Ron Weasley say.
"What did you just say?" She spat as she looked over at him.
"I wasn't talking to you. I was talking to him." He pointed to Inigo.
"To answer your question, I believe Kerry is a great friend and I can choose who I want to be friends with, thank you." Inigo spoke sharply. That shut Weasley up.
"Thanks Inigo. I didn't realise you thought of me as a good friend. Maybe just a friend." She smiled.
"Shut up, I do think of you as a great friend. They just don't know you. I believe I know you enough to know that you only act mean to defend yourself."
"Wow thanks. So I'm mean am I?" She asked him and he coughed a couple of times trying to talk.
"N-no I didn't mean-"
"I'm only joking. I know what you mean." That's when the other students started filing in. Everyone took their seats and Kerry got out her books, ready for a revision packed lesson.
"Goodmorning class. Exams are starting in a week and a half. I really hope you are all studying hard and keeping all that you have learnt, within your brain. Now, today I believe we shall go over the Animagi. For this, we don't just have my help, but also the help of Mr.Sirius Black." She pointed towards the entrance and Sirius came in.
