DAMN IT!
Kerry lay in the bed and waited. Sirius was sat in the chair next to her bed. Bates and Stanley were standing by the door waiting. The golden trio were waiting and whispering to each other.
It had been a whole hour since Kerry was allowed back to rest. Dumbledore and Fudge had been questioning Peter for ages. Severus had provided Veriteserum.
"What is taking so long?" Kerry moaned. "The rat did it. There is nothing to speak about for a whole hour."
"Be patient Kerry. Look, here they come." Sirius noted. Bates and Stanley had been called to escort Peter to the highest cell at the north tower. He would wait there until the Minister had finished speaking with Dumbledore and alerting the authorities of the truth.
Severus, Sirius, Kerry and the golden trio were the only ones left in the room. It was about 3am now but no one was tired.
"Where is Madam Pomfrey?" Severus asked coldly.
"Erm. She had to go with a boy to St.Mungo's after she has sorted me out. The boy had a cauldron stuck on his head or something." Sirius chuckled when Kerry has finished.
"Classic!" He exclaimed. Severus scowled at him and turned on his heal and left. "He is such a depressing git you know."
"Whatever dad." Kerry smiled. Sirius grinned and got up. He walked over to Harry and started to talk with him quietly.
Kerry looked over at Hermione and saw her scowling. "What are you looking at Granger?" She smirked.
"I don't know. But the ugly thing is staring back." Hermione answered. Kerry just grinned.
"You make me laugh Granger. If I wasn't in Slytherin we would probably be friends." She shrugged.
"Yeh right. If you were in Griffindor I would move houses." Hermione spat. Kerry placed a hand over her heart.
"That hurt Granger. Right here!" She pointed to her heart.
"Stop doing that nonsense. Silly school girl rivalries." Sirius shook his head.
"Ok dad." Kerry sweetly smiled.
"And stop with the freaky nicey nicey stuff." Kerry laughed and then mock scowled.
"This is more me." Sirius sat down on her bed and brought her into a hug. "This is embarrassing. But why the sudden affection?" Kerry murmured into Sirius' chest.
"I'm free Kerry. I am a free man. I would love it if you came and live with me." Sirius said as he held her.
"Me? Live with you?" She whispered.
"Yeh. I have this old family house in London. I asked Harry as well." The smile faded from Kerry's face.
"I'll pass." She whispered.
"Why?" Sirius looked slightly hurt.
"I can't bare to be in here with Potter, let alone live with him." She scoffed. "I'm sorry. But I'll visit you. My mom would love to see you again." Sirius nodded in understanding.
"I get it. I would love to see Samantha again."
"Good. Because you can come to ours for Easter." Kerry grinned. Sirius pulled away from her and was smiling like a lunatic.
"I would love to."
After that they all decided to get some rest. Kerry was so happy that she now had a proper family. Samantha wouldn't believe it when she finds out.

It was around 7 in the morning when the hospital wing doors banged open. Kerry could hear the yelling but her mind didn't register what they were saying. She sat up and rubbed her eyes before finally tuning in.
