RETURNING TO HOGWARTS
It was the first of September and Kerry was excited once again. She would return to Hogwarts for her third year.
"All packed?" Asked her mother.
"Yes mom. I've put Bumble in her cage." Bumble was Kerry's little cat which was black, brown, orange and grey. Kerry lived in a rather large house on the outskirts of Hogsmeade. She was a pure-blood and her mothers family were very proud.
Her mother had one brother named Keith Yaxley. He didn't see them much. Kerry knew that her father was a pure-blood but didn't know who he was.
"Ooh this Sirius Black guy looks dangerous. He's escaped you know mom."
"Oh, what? Yes I saw." She acted like she didn't care but really she did. She still loved Sirius and wished that he hadn't done such a terrible thing. "Let's get to the station darling its getting late." As Kerry lived in Hogsmeade she didn't ever catch the train.
"Ok, ok. I'm coming." It took about half an hour to walk to the station.
The train was already there and Hagrd the large man, was calling out.
"Firs' years foller me! Firs years!"
Kerry hugged her mother and left.
"Ello Kerry. Just leave your things there as usual." Hagrid said. Kerry dumped her stuff and went to find her friends.
"Pansy! Draco! Blaise!" She ran up to them and greeted them.
"Hey Kerry. Did you hear the news about Sirius Black?"
"Yeh. I'm not scared though. My Lynx form could take him on!" She laughed. They all entered the carriage and made their way to the castle. They entered the building and took seats at their Slytherin table. Kerry barely listened to the sorting. But she caught the last name.
"Weasley, Ginny"
"GRIFFINDOR!"
"Pfft. Stupid Weasleys." Said Kerry. Then Albus Dumbledore stood up.
"Settle down! Settle down! Welcome to our first years and welcome back to our other years. I believe this year is one to look forward to. However there is danger at the school this year. Dementors, guards of Azkaban, are placed at every entrance to the school. They will not take too kindly to someone being in their way, so it is best that you do not approach them. Now off to bed pip pip."
The slytherins made their way down to their dungeon common room.
"I'm going to bed. Pretty tired." Kerry smiled and left for her bed, however Severus Snape bounded into the common room.
"Gather round everyone. You have already been told about the dementors but if I catch anyone trying to taunt them or go near them, you will be out of this school before I can say Potions!" He then fled out of the room quickly.
"Yeh, anyway. Goodnight guys" she smiled and said quietly. "Goodnight Draco." He smiled back.
