Chapter Seven

PURE-BLOOD VS MUDBLOOD

"Draco has done nothing wrong, filthy mudblood! Who do you think you are! Lucius asked the committee to kill Buckbeak! Not Draco.!" She was having a full blown argument with Hermione Grainger.

"You were not in the lesson! He provoked Buckbeak! How dare you even join this conversation. You think your all high and mighty."

"What is that supposed to mean? You think your high and mighty. All hail the griffindors! Ha! What a laugh." They were in a deserted corridor.

"I do not! You prance around thinking your all that! Oooh I'm a pure-blood. There is nothing better. You must all kneel at my feet. La de da de da!" She said in a high voice.

"Aargh! Filthy, stupid, horrible little mudblood!" She stepped back grabbed her wand and shouted.

"FLIPENDO!" Hermione quickly used a shield charm.

"Oh so you want to hurt me now!"

"Yeh. But I don't need a wand for that!" Spat Kerry. She launched forward and grabbed Hermione's hair. They faught, scratched, grabbed and bit one another.

"Errrrr! Argh! Ahh!" They both said. Someone then grabbed Kerry and another grabbed Hermione. Kerry kicked her legs and grabbed for Hermione who had calmed down.

"She is gonna get it! Nasty mudblood! Calling me and Draco names. Ill get her for that."

"ENOUGH KERRY!"

"Let go of me! I warn you, let go!"

"I said ENOUGH!" Kerry looked at who was holding Hermione. It was Lupin, and from the black robe on the floor, Severus was holding her.

"Severus! Let go of me please. I won't do anything I promise." She said sweetly. Faking it of course.

"Only if you don't do anything. Either of you." Lupin said. Kerry and Hermione both shook their heads. Kerry silently grabbed her wand. Severus released her. Lupin did the same and they both stepped away and in front of the girls. Kerry turned to face Hermione.

"I'm sorry for this. STUPEFY!" She cried. Hermione went flying and Severus grabbed Kerry's arm.

"Get of! She deserved that and you know it. Stupid muggle!" Lupin ran to Hermione's aid. He picked her up in his arms and took her off to the hospital wing.

"You can come with me! I thought better of you Kerry Yaxley! You'll be lucky if you don't get expelled!" Severus dragged her by her arm all the way to his office. "Sit down!"

"No! I've had enough of this. She had a go at me about something that had nothing to do with me, then she decides to pick a fight and mimic me! Ha! I had non of it."

"I said sit down!" She slumped down into the nearest chair and stared at Severus.

"What did you expect me to do? Just stand there and take it? She was blaming Draco for all sorts!"

"When the argument had finished, and it had Kerry, don't look at me like that. I did not expect you to send her flying down the corridor like a piece of meat!" The argument went on for a while and Kerry decided to leave.

"I'm sorry Severus but I'm not taking this!" She ran for it. Severus ran after her but she was faster.

"Kerry! GET BACK HERE NOW! I WASN'T FINISHED. TWO MONTHS OF DETENTIONS! KERRY!"

"No way Severus!" She called back. She ran out of the castle and across the large wooden bridge. Suddenly she came to an abrupt halt.

"Draco! Come here a minute." She saw Draco near the quidditch field and he came over. "You'll never guess what just happened!" She told him everything.

"Ha! She's blaming you! It isn't my fault either. Silly mudblood. The hippogriff is coming to an end, she needs to get over it."

"Yes Draco but that's not the point! She said basically that I was stuck up my own arse! I couldn't believe it! Lets go back to the castle, I want us to be alone for a bit." She held his hand and they walked up to the castle together. They slipped down a deserted corridor and sat on a little bench.

"I love you Draco Malfoy! Do you love me?" They looked into each others eyes.

"Yeh, why not." He smiled a brilliant white smile. They hugged each other and kissed.
