Jason's pov
I get back from the studio and Miranda was reading a book on the couch. "What ya reading?" "I've been thinking..... About everything you said in Kansas. I've just been reading up on it." Oh God. Is she talking about babies?! "You're not talking about havin' kids, are you?" I ask worried. She laughs. "No. I don't want kids remember! No I meant going on a vacation. I just can't decide where we should go." "Oh okay. You scared me for a minute there." "What about a European vacation?" "Nah I'm not much of a flyer." I say, sitting beside her. "Ok. Hey ooh let's take a cruise! They're so romantic!" I smile. "I can't wait babe. But let's do it after the CMT awards." She nods and closes the book. I see the cover says, 'The perfect vacation spots and you'. I shrug it off. "Tomorrow I got rehearsals." I say. Luke walks in. "Jason, ya gotta give Caroline an excuse for us to hang out. I can't take it anymore!" I laugh. "Got a perfect idea! The rehearsals. I could tell her they're today and tomorrow." He breathes a relieved sigh. "Thank you God!" I walk outside where she was waiting. "We're headed to the CMT award rehearsals. He'll be back later." "It's bullshit." She says, crossing her arms. "Think what ya want but Luke and I are hanging out tonight and you can get over it." "You've got a real smartmouth Jason, I think you're a bad influence to Luke and Bo!" My eyes go wide. "What are you saying girly?!" "You know exactly what I'm saying asshole!" She stomps to her car and leaves. I walk back inside, pissed. "Luke, I hate Caroline!" "What happened?" "She thinks I'm a bad influence on you and Bo!" His jaw drops along with Miranda's. "Who's she kidding?!" She cries shocked. "I can't believe she'd say that!" Luke gapes, staring at the ground. "Whatever. Let's hit the bar. I wanna get wasted." "I'll be designated." Miranda says. I smile. "Once again, babe, you're the best." I say, wrapping an arm around her waist. She smiles. "I try to be." "You sure succeed." I say, kissing her.
