Miranda's pov

I look at my tattoo in the mirror. My shoulder still hurts. I really regret getting a tattoo. "Ugh, it hurts, Jason." I complain. He smiles. "Sorry sweetheart, there's nothin' I can do. Ya just gotta wait." He says. He lifts his sleeve up too and looks at his tattoo. "I think it looks awesome." He continues. "Yeah I like it. I just don't like how sore it hurts." I mumble, crossing my arms. He looks over at me. "Oh, you thought I was talking about the buck tattoo." He says. I look at him out of the corner of my eye. "Yeah, what are you talking about?" I ask. He walks out of the bathroom, his sleeve lowered. "You'll see it later." He says, putting his hands in his pockets. "What do you mean?" I ask, running after him. He leans against the wall, his hands still in his pockets. "What are you hiding from me?" I ask, walking over. He pulls up his sleeve again, revealing a different tattoo. It's my name along with my kinda party and it's wrapped around his buck tattoo. My hands fly to my mouth. "Oh my gosh Jason, that's so awesome." I gasp, staring at it, shocked. He hugs me. "I chased my dream and kept the girl." He says, "Careful though, it's still sore." He says. "I bet." I reply. He kisses my lips softly and dips me, my hands around his neck.

Jason's pov

Me and Luke just finished recording a duet. "So, how'd she react when she saw the extra parts of your tattoo?" Luke asks. I smile and roll my sleeve up, looking at it. "She loved it. I'm glad I did it, even if it hurts like crazy." I say. "So are ya gonna ask her to marry you?" He asks. I look at the ground avoiding eye contact. I shake my head. "Why not?! I thought you guys were in love?!" He gapes sitting up straight, surprised. "I do love her more than anything. I'm just not into the commitment part of it. And we're doing great as we are, we don't need no ring to prove how much we love each other. Cause when your baby really loves you, it ain't through no wedding band." I explain. "She's gonna get tired of waiting." He says. "No, she isn't. She's perfectly happy the way we are." I protest. "Remember Eric's song hard way? She'll get tired of waiting and her dad will give her away to someone else while you stand in the back heartbroken." He says, annoying me. "That's bull, we might as well be married without all the fancy crap." I mutter. "Getting married is a girl's dream. She's gonna want ya to marry her sooner or later." He says. I roll my eyes. "I'm not the kind of guy to settle down like that. Sorry." I grumble leaving the room. I get home where she's cooking dinner. I grab her around the waist and she screams in surprise. "Hey babe. What's cookin' good lookin'?" I ask. "Isn't that an old one!" She gasps, craning her head to kiss me. "Get that song recorded?" She asks. I nod. "The new album will be coming out next month." I say. "This is what like your 8th album now, right?" She asks. "I think it's my 7th actually." I say, "but who's counting?" I kiss her neck, my arms still around her waist, resting on her stomach. She moans making me smile as I kiss her neck some more. "I gotta get dinner finished." She mumbles. I flip the stove off. "I'm not hungry." I say. She turns around, lifting my shirt sleeve up, looking at my tattoo. The earlier conversation with Luke comes to mind. I don't think I ever wanna get married. Us living the way we are suits me just fine. I hope she doesn't care. Yeah, I need to stop listening to Luke. She loves me without needing a ring.
