Jason's pov

She's talking to someone on the phone. "You wanna know or are you just gonna keep interrupting?" She gripes. Then a new voice. It must be on speaker. "Ok, tell me everything." " you are right. I did find a man but you will never believe who it is. I'll give you a hint. Somebody I've admired for years now." "Girl, you know I'm not good at guessing." I grab my hat off the bed and walk out. "Who ya talkin' to, darlin'?" I ask. "Oh, hey my sister doesn't believe me. Give her a shout out and she'll flip, it'll be hilarious." She says, handing me the phone. I put it to my ear. "Hello?" I say. "She wasn't fucking with me!!" She gasps. I laugh. "No, she's fucking with me." I joke, laughing. "Jason!!" She cries, swatting my arm and taking the phone back. I ruffle her hair. "It's too early in the morning for me not to be stupid." I say. "Jason, it's 2 in the afternoon." She says, catching me by surprise. "Oh I musta slept hard." She nods and gets off the phone. "And you aren't stupid." She says, grabbing my hand. "I bet ya haven't seen the sights yet!" She says. Actually I have but I'll humor her. "What's your favorite thing here?" I ask. She shrugs. "Born and raised here so I love everything." She says, swinging our hands back and forth. "This is the street I grew up on." She says. We walk down to the cul de sac and she points out the house she used to live at but it's completely run down. "Mom must've moved out a while ago. Let's check it out." She says, running toward it. "Are we allowed to do this?" I ask. She shrugs and grabs a key, unlocking the door. It definitely hasn't been lived in in a while. We go back outside. "That gives me the creeps." She says. I shrug and get back in my truck. I turn the radio up as she leans against my door. Somethin' bout a truck comes on. Her eyes light up. "The first song we slow danced to." She says. I smirk.

*later that week*

I got those two shows in Panama City then I'll bring her to meet the folks. Oh I bet they'll embarass me. I grip my guitar. I run out onstage. "What's up Panama City?" I call.

Miranda's pov

I'm watching from front row. It's the greatest feeling. He goes old school and sings cowboy lady. "And when she's lovin' me, she wears the crown, yeah when she's lovin' me she wears the crown." He winks at me. "Come on up here beauty queen." He says. I blush and climb the steps. "I toss and turn and losin' sleep can't seem to make any sense of anything, I keep wanderin' round in circles in a daze." He grabs my hand while singing relentless. He kisses my lips. He finishes singing and everyone is silent. "Ok, this is weird." He says scratching his head confused.

Jason's pov

Why is the crowd so quiet? I'm so confused. Mike comes out onstage and grabs both of us, dragging us backstage. "What's the deal, man?" I gasp, glancing out at the crowd which is still unbelievably quiet. "I think they were shocked seeing you kiss her! Who is she anyway?!" He asks. "My girlfriend." I say, holding her hand. "What's their problem with him showing me off?" She asks winking since that's a song title of mine. "Nobody knew you were even dating again." Mike says. I roll my eyes. "Fine, I'll announce it now onstage. I don't know why they think they need to know everything that happens in my life." I mutter, walking back out. "Who is she?" One fan asks. "She's my girlfriend." I say. Of course millions of questions are shouted at me.

*the next day*

The country weekly talks about last night. "Ready to go?" I ask. "You sure they'll like me?" She asks, making me laugh. "You worry too much sweetheart. My mom will just be glad I've finally gotten somebody." I joke. She smiles and I crank up the music. Lee Brice's I drive your truck comes on as we drive to Macon. "My parents will love you just as much as I do." I say, wrapping my arm around her.
