Miranda's pov

He takes me to a party at his friend's house. And may I mention that friend just happens to be the crazy dancing hip swinging Luke Bryan. We're standing by the bonfire when someone clasps his shoulder. He turns around and it's Tyler Farr. "Damn, T you almost gave me a heart attack." He says, picking his red solo cup of beer up. I smile and tip the bottom of it a little. He lowers it quickly as to not spill it on himself. I'm laughing hysterically. "Ha ha very funny birthday girl." He says, smiling. "Sorry couldn't resist." I say, shrugging. He just sips his beer. "Why aren't you getting anything?" He asks. "Somebody's gotta drive." I say, pointing to his truck, parked amongst a ton of others. This time he laughs. "What's so funny?" I ask, laughing with him. "Noones driving home tonight. You've probably never been to a party like this before, we all do whatever we want, most of which involves getting wasted then ya sleep it away in a truck or couch or the floor, wherever you decide to get comfortable. We aren't going home tonight." He says. "Oh well in that case," I say, grabbing a cup. He follows me as I fill my cup up making me think of Luke's new single kick the dust up. "Yeah girl, that's the spirit!" He shouts enthusiastically. We clink cups together. I start thinking of Toby Keith's song red solo cup. I drink a whole cup. I don't want to get super drunk even if that's what pretty much everyone else is doing. Luckily Jason's not. "What's your favorite song of mine?" He asks, laying in the grass, his hands behind his head. "Ooh, you can't make me choose just one. I've got a whole list of favorites. I mean I love every song but some just speak to me, ya know." I say, sitting cross legged beside him. "Well name a few from your list." He says, using quotations around my list. "Well, let's see...." I say, thinking. "My absolute number one favorite song is gonna have to be my kinda party. First song I ever heard of yours, first song I memorized, first dance with my first boyfriend. So many firsts with that song it ain't even funny." I say. "Really, OK first dance where and who and what broke it off?" He asks. "Why ya askin' so much questions?" I ask. He chuckles. "It's probably the alcohol but hey." He says, shrugging. "Ok, it was at my house, I threw a graduation party and I insisted only country music be played. So I put my Pandora to Jason Aldean radio, plugged it into the speakers and the first song on it was my kinda party. A shy boy who I only met a few times asked me to dance. I was really nervous since I wasn't much of a dancer but we danced. Two weeks later, he moved to Sweden. Never heard from him again." I say. The whole time he was staring at me. "Dang that's an awesome story." He says. Somethin' bout a truck by Kip Moore starts playing. "Would ya like to dance with me?" He asks. I giggle and take his hand. "That line made me think of cowboy lady." I say. "Oh wow, that was high school." He says, surprised. He guides me into a clear patch of grass near the music. He spins me then picks me up. "Oh wow didn't see that coming! Just don't drop me!" I gasp. He laughs and sets me down. Then Tyler Farr's song suffer in peace comes on.

We both look at each other, asking mentally if we should proceed since it's a slow song which means extreme closeness. She shrugs. I hold her hands and place them on my shoulders then move mine to her hips. We dance to the slow song without saying a word. We finish dancing and sit on my tailgate. An awkward silence envelopes us. "You're a good dancer." She says. "Thanks you too." I say. "What are your plans after tomorrow?" She asks. "Uh, I think I have two more shows in Panama City and another one in Kentucky. After that, this stretch of the tour is over for a week or two so I was planning' on visitin' the folks back home in-" "Macon" we say it at the same time. She smirks at me. "Wikipedia will tell you a lot." She says, shrugging. I nod and grab a pillow from my truck. The back gets pretty painful after a while. "Ya wanna just sleep here?" I ask. She nods so I grab another and toss it to her. "I don't know about you but I'm exhausted." She says. I smile. "Had a good birthday?" I say, smirking. "One of the best." She says, closing her eyes. I'm about to make it perfect.

I'm drifting off to sleep when I feel someone kiss me on the lips. I open my eyes, caught off guard. Jason is kissing me!!! This has definitely been the greatest birthday of my life. He lays down beside me a second later. "Goodnight birthday girl." He says with a smile. "Y-yeah G-Goodnight." I choke out, shocked. I hear him chuckle softly to himself. He grabs my hand under the blanket. I of course don't pull away. I glance over at him. His eyes are closed with a smile on his face. I smile too then fall asleep.
