Jason's pov

I stare in shock at what is in front of me. The old walls a new pristine white and uncrumbling. The floor dark red carpet. It looks like a regular house! "What is going on?" She gasps, staring at everything shocked. "I-I don't know." I gape. The hole we dug is no longer there. "We're the only ones who know about this place so how is it like this?" I mumble, talking to myself since I know she doesn't know. Then the door that is magically fixed opens up. A happy smiling woman carrying a little girl walks in. "Daddy, will be home soon. We should get started on dinner." The mother says. Another woman angrily walks in after they go into the kitchen. She mumbles to herself and I can't fully understand it. "Jason, I'm scared!" She cries. I hug her to me as the woman walks over to where we are and walks right through us. I back up until I bump into the wall. The woman cuts the phone lines and pours kerosene on everything! She lights a match and walks to the door. Then she throws the match and says, "good riddance." We're pressed against the wall as everything catches on fire! What is even going on?!?! I hear the screams from the kitchen of the mom and kid. My God that poor kid!! Are we gonna die!? She pulls free. "I've got to hep them!!" She cries. I grab her hand. "Baby there's nothing you can do." I say, pulling her close to me and away from the fire. That's when I realize I don't feel the heat from the fire. In fact I feel a gentle breeze. "What's going on?" I mumble, not scared anymore. I walk closer to the fire. "Jason! What are you doing!?" She cries. I reach my hand out and touch the fire but it's as if nothing is there. It doesn't burn. "Honey, it isn't real." I say. "How is it not real!? And get your damned hand out of that!!" She shouts. "Baby, it ain't real fire. I don't know what it is."

Miranda's pov

He walks into it entirely. I'm shocked. I call him and he walks back out. "I think you should come see this." He says, holding my hand. Not a burn on him anywhere. "How.... How are you okay?" I whisper, shocked. He just pulls me closer. We walk right through it and I'm completely fine. He leads me into the kitchen where the woman and child lay there dead, burns covering almost all of them. "My God!" I cry, covering my mouth with my hand. "Why are we seeing this?" "I think this is the past. Something that happened in the past. Whoever they are, want us to find that chick who killed 'em." He says, pointing. The fire fades and the room looks old again. Everything is back to the way it was before. "Let's get outta here." I cry. He nods and holds my hand. We run out of there as fast as we can.

*later that night*

Tossing and turning in bed from a dream.

*in the dream*

The woman who set the place on fire pries up the floorboards where the trunk was buried. She digs and digs. Then she gets the bodies and reburies it all and it looks like nothing happened. The woman leaves. I hear a faint "help us, please!" I wake up screaming causing Jason to wake up dazed. "I know what we have to do!" I gasp, getting out of bed. "What are you talking about babe?" He gasps. Then I remember it's the middle of the night. "We have to go to the place. I know what to do now." "OK, well let's go in the morning." He says, pulling me back to bed. One thought swirls in my brain. How did the dead woman communicate with me like she did?
