Miranda's pov
Me and Isabel were decorating her room. She loves the avengers and X-Men which is cool. Jason was doing Asher's room. I'm so glad we adopted them both. I get sad again thinking of our babies we lost. She sits down, looking sad. "What's wrong, honey?" I ask, sitting beside her. "I know you only adopted me because of Asher." "That's not true! We were wanting to adopt a daughter too. We were just new at this and wanted to start small. But I wasn't gonna rip you away from your only family." "Y-You really did want me?" "Of course we did." I say hugging her. Poor girl. "Lunch is ready!" I hear Jason call. I smile and stand up. "Let's go get some lunch." Which I must admit surprises me, Jason's not the kind to get in the kitchen. I laugh softly to myself as we go downstairs. He had made grilled cheese and tomato soup. I smile and lean against the counter. "This is the first time I've seen you in the kitchen cooking in a long time." I tease, making him laugh. "Well, I'm a dad now." He says smiling at me. "I've been talking to my mom and she's given me tips on the kitchen." A pang of sadness hits me when I think of my mom. How she'll never get to meet her grandkids. She'll never spoil them like she always said she would. He sets the plates and bowls on the table. I try to fight back being sad but I all of a sudden miss my mother ten times more. "Baby you okay?" "I.. Uh yeah." I mumble looking away. "No you're not. What's wrong?" He asks holding my hand. "I... I just... I miss my mom and... I w-wish she c-could be here to see Asher and Isabel... And s-spoil them... Like she... Al-Always said she would." I whimper starting to cry. He hugs me. "I'm sorry hun. It's cause I mentioned my mom ain't it?" "No." I lie, looking away. "Miranda I know when you're lying." He says making me blush. "How?" I ask, embarrassed. "Cause you always look away and cross your arms." I laugh softly. "You know me too well, Jase." He smiles. "I love ya baby." "I love you too." I say, smiling. He glances at our wonderful angels. "We've gotta get Isabel enrolled in school." She glances at us nervously. "I'm always bullied at school." "So was I." Jason said. "They always said a music man like me ain't ever gonna settle down. But hey look at me now!" I smile. "Whatever the bullies say bout you is just crap because they're jealous!" "Jealous? Of what?" He shrugs with a smile. "Jealous that they ain't tourin' the country with their musician dad and that they don't get to go to six flags theme park when school lets out for the summer." She stares at him shocked. "What? We're going to six flags?" He smiles and nods. "To celebrate our kids joining the family." He says hugging her. I fight back my own tears as that sweet lonely little girl starts to cry. "There there angel. Your mommy and daddy are gonna take care of you. We love you both so much." "Izzy?" Asher whimpers, having watched it all in confused silence. I scoop him out of his high chair and sit in a chair with him in my lap. I hug him tight. "I love you Mommy and Daddy." Isabel says making me very happy. We're a family. I love it.
