Miranda's pov

Jason was on the phone with the orphanage. "We don't have a preference. A boy or girl is good for us. Preferably young." Man he's good at this. Much better than I am. I'd be too nervous and shaky. "Ok. Cool. See ya then." He hangs up with a huge smile, making me smile big. "So?" I ask nervous. "We gotta be there in an hour to get information folders which we'll look over and decide." He hugs me. "I'm scared. What if they don't like me?" "Aw honey they'll like you."

*One hour later*

We looked over all the information and set up to meet with a 3 year old boy named Asher. "I'm excited." I say, holding Jason's hand. Suddenly we hear someone scream, "No!! Not him!!" I'm confused. The door opens and a terrified girl runs in. "You can't take my brother!! He's all I have left!" Her brother? The forms didn't say anything about siblings! The lady we were talking to earlier came in and grabbed her arm! "Please!!" She begs crying. Jason holds my hand tighter. "Wait!" He cries. The woman stops. "Why didn't the information say anything about him having a sister?" "Because siblings never get adopted together. Saying they have siblings ruins the chances of adoption." My eyes go wide. I shake my head. "Not with us, it doesn't." He says, making me glad. The little girl looks shocked. "We have no problem adopting them both." "You are aware she has anxiety and severe asthma." "We are now." "We'll help her." I say. "Y-You will?" The little girl whimpered. I nod. The girl was maybe 11. "What's your name?"  I ask, walking over.

Jason's pov

Wow. She's been super nervous all day. I'm glad to see her taking charge now. "I.... I'm... Isabel... Ash... Asher is my brother. I c-can't lose him." "You won't." My wonderful wife says hugging her. "Y-You really want to adopt me? With all my problems?" She glances back at me with a smile. "Everyone has problems, take just how ya deal with them that matters." Wow. This woman is going to be a wonderful mother to our two kids. "We'll adopt them both." I say. The door opens and a man walks in holding Asher on his hip. He sets him down and he mumbles, "Izzy.." while sucking his thumb. I smile. We're definitely adopting them both. We've got the room.
