Miranda's pov

It's been a long time since I've been to an OBGYN so I decided to have a full check up. After the doctor said for us to wait for a bit while he did something. I was bored. "Gimme your phone." I say. He looks at me with a smirky glare. "Why?" "Cause." I say, laughing a little. "You better not record anything stupid." He says passing it to me. "I'm bored and my phone's in the car." I say turning on some music. After a few songs, I turn to my smiling husband and say, "Your playlist is weird." "Weird how?" He says laughing. "It's just... Weird." "You're weird." "So! You are too." I say poking him. "Either you're hyper or jus really excited about this baby case you're actin' really weird." I laugh. "In always weird. You didn't know that?" I joke. He rolls his eyes. I look at the old gold watch on his wrist that he never takes off. It sends chills down my spine remembering that place. "I miss mom." I whisper, suddenly feeling sad. "She won't get to be a grandma." His smile fades and he hugs me. "I'm sorry about your mom, babe. But our little girl or rambunctious little man will know about her. I promise." I look over at him fighting the tears and paying the music. "You really are happy about this?" He smiles. "Of course I am, Miranda. I love you and our baby so damn much." I smile and we hug. "I love you too, Jason. You make life so awesome." He laughs slightly and the doctor finally comes back in.

Jason's pov

"I'm afraid I have some bad news." He doctor says instantly scaring me. Her hand tenses up around mine. "What?" She gasps caught off guard. "I'm sorry to tell you this but your body is too small to support a baby properly." "I'm conf-fused." She mumbles, her voice shaking. "Your body is too small. It's either gonna end in miscarriage, stillbirth or severe complications at birth. I recommend aborting the pregnancy and doing something else like adoption." My hands are shaking. I know her. And I know she won't abort the baby. "No! I can't kill the baby!" She shouts. I knew it. "Honey listen to the doctor. It's dangerous!" I say grabbing her hand. "B-But you... You said you wanted this too!" "I do. But I don't... I can't lose you." I shakily say. "You could die!" "I can't do it, Jason. It goes against everything I believe in." "Miranda if you do this, the baby won't make it anyway! Why risk death itself for a baby that won't live!??!" "Stop yelling at me!" She yells crying. "I'm sorry for yelling. I'm just scared. I love you. I can't lose you!" "And I can't lose my baby." She whimpers. I hug her tight. "But the baby won't-" "He or she might." "But if you do.... You might not." "I have faith." She says smiling at me with tears in her eyes. I'm so scared. I can't let her do this.

*Later*

I wake up in the middle of the night and call the doctor. "This is highly against the law." He says. "It ain't against the law if ya don't get caught. Ya just do it and she'll think she miscarried." I whisper, desperate. "This is unethical. I don't think I can do this and still have a good conscience." I'm frustrated. "I'm willing to go to jail to keep the girl I love alive. I'll take the fall if we get caught. Please, just do this. Help a desperate man out!" "Ugh fine. I don't feel right about this though." Thankfully the doctor comes over with his medical supplies. "I feel horrible about this." "Me too. But I'm not gonna let her die. Especially if the baby isn't expected to live." I don't know if I can watch it. I wait in the hallway as he puts her under anesthesia and performs an abortion on her. I hope she doesn't find out. She'll be pissed not to mention really upset. Hell she's going to be devastated regardless. I hate that I have to do it to her but I do. I'm not risking losing her.
