"Y/N, are you okay? You look like you're going to throw up..."

You continued staring straight down at your lap and hoped you could open your mouth to answer Youngjae's question despite the nausea lacing your nervous stomach.

"It's not too late to turn around, right? Just drop me off here and I'll walk home."

Jackson chuckled and set his hand on top of yours, giving it a supportive squeeze.

"It's gonna be fine jagi," He assured you, "I promise. It's really not that hard. All you have to do is walk, pause for them to take a picture, and then keep walking."

"You forget that I'm not photogenic," You replied, covering your face with your hands, trying not to smudge your professionally done makeup while doing so.

Your boyfriend snorted and pulled your hands away to look affectionately in your eyes. The two of you were crammed in a limo with the rest of the Got7 boys, as if you also needed claustrophobia to make your anxiety any worse.

"Are you kidding me, Y/N? I'm pretty sure no one's even going to notice us when they see your beautiful face."

You threw Jackson a doubtful glance, but didn't say anything.

It was your first red carpet experience, and you couldn't believed you had let your boyfriend convince you to attend as his date. Got7 was up for a total of three awards, and of course you wanted to be there to support Jackson and the other guys, but the thought of appearing in front of hundreds of judgemental eyes and flashing lights made you want to violently throw yourself into the sun.

"Won't it be weird that only one of you has a date, though?" You asked, looking around at your friends, hoping for a reason to bail even though there was no way you would get out of it. "I mean, it's seven guys and one girl. I'm gonna stick out like a sore thumb."

"No you won't," Mark replied with a calm smile, "Yours and Jackson's relationship has been public for months, they'd probably think it strange if you weren't there.

Nods supported his words, and you sunk down in your seat with defeat. For a few minutes you stared out the heavily tinted windows of the car, growing more nervous with every building that passed by. You felt guilty for all the time and effort that had been put into your gorgeous dress, your makeup, and your hair. Certainly nothing could look good under the harsh lights of cameras.

"Hey," Jackson whispered once all eyes were off you and everyone was on their phones, "You're going to be okay, alright babe? I'll never leave your side."

"You promise?" You asked with a nervous sigh, leaning your head on the shoulder of his impeccably tailored suit jacket.

"I promise," He held the back of your hand up to his lips and placed a kiss there. The simple act gave you a rush of confidence, which you tried desperately to hold onto as a large crowd appeared in the distance.

As soon as you could hear the excited chattering from outside, your stomach did a flip. You clutched Jackson's hand for dear life, trying to quickly adjust your hair with the other. As you glanced over at your boyfriend in his incredibly handsome outfit, you decided there was no use in trying to look as gorgeous as him, and hoped people would be too awestruck by him to even notice you.

Soon the door was being thrown open and the boys were shuffling out, met by the screams of fans outside. Anxiously you looked over at Jackson with wide eyes, who leaned over to give you a peck on the cheek.

"We can do this," He murmured, "Together."

You stepped out of the car behind him, quickly adjusting your dress. The bright flashing lights disoriented you for a moment, but soon Jackson's palm was pressing supportively on the small of your back as he lead you forward. Though he had to stay grouped with the other guys he always tried to have some part of the two of you were touching, a gentle reminder that he would be there for you no matter what.

Soon it was their turn to take photos in front of the large crowd of photographers, with loads of fans yelling behind them. You couldn't help but grin with pride as the seven of them stood together with grins from ear to ear. They deserved the recognition they were receiving, and much more.

They began to move to the next group of photographers, but Jackson stayed behind and motioned for you to join him. Hesitantly you stood next to him where Mark had just been, and he turned to pose for the same group.

Confusedly you turned your head towards them and did your best to smile despite your nerves. Jackson seemed to notice you were struggling, and quickly pulled you towards the next area, giving you a moment to breathe, all the while murmuring encouraging words in your ear. Cameras continued to flash and you suffered through a few more photo-ops, but quickly noticed you weren't even halfway through.

At the next spotlight Jackson's arm was around your waist, with your hand pressed awkwardly against his chest. For a moment you stood as usual, fake smiling and squinting into the light, until suddenly Jackson squirmed and you lost your balance.

You gasped loudly as you felt yourself begin to fall, already unsteady from your heels. However, as your life flashed before your eyes and you instantly regretted all of your decisions, Jackson caught you in his strong arms.

"Gotcha," He smirked with a wink, staring into your eyes with his sparkling ones.

A nervous laugh erupted from between your tinted lips, as you lightly batted at Jackson's chest. You really shouldn't have been surprised at his little stunt, though you were sure he knew from the beginning that he would be able to catch you.

The crowd blinked back into focus, and you heard an audible swoon from them at the cuteness they had just witnessed. Blushing, you hid your face in Jackson's neck, which only called for another round of 'aww's.

He took your hand in his and lead you across the rest of the red carpet, your smile suddenly genuine. Soon you were walking through a hallway into the open building where the awards would take place, and Jackson took the moment away from excitement to pull you close and give you a hug.

"I told you it would be fine," He grinned. "I always keep my promises."
