"Truth or dare?" You asked Jackson, turning to face him on the couch in the living room of your apartment.

"What?" He chuckled, facing away from the movie playing to look in your eyes.

"I'm bored," You replied, "Now answer me, truth or dare?"

"Dare," Jackson answered, pausing the film. You knew your best friend could never resist a round of truth or dare.

"Give me your phone," You smirked, "I dare you to let me send Bambam a text."

"Nooo!" He whined, earning a laugh from you. "Please don't say anything weird!"

"I'm pretty sure nothing I say will be any weirder than what you text him about," You laughed, typing in a message.

The two of you continued to play for awhile, which ended in you dying of laughter while Jackson attempted to walk in your high heels, and him laughing the same amount when you had to recreate the dance from 'Just Right'.

"Okay," He chuckled when both of you had finally calmed down. "Truth or dare."

"Truth," You sighed contently, admiring his sparkling eyes, "I'm too lazy to stand up anymore."

"Alright..."

Jackson stared around the room in thought, wondering what he would ask you. You took the moment of quiet to glance across his focused features. It was hard to believe that such a beautiful person existed. In all the time you'd known him, you had never met someone more caring or sweet or funny or a million other adjectives that came to mind when you looked at him.

"Tell me your most embarrassing makeout story," Jackson smirked.

Your grin faltered and you shrunk into yourself. Awkwardly you reached forward and grabbed your mug of hot chocolate, pretending it was suddenly the most interesting thing in the world.

"What? Is it that bad?"

"I wish." You mumbled.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, for you to have an embarrassing kissing story, you'd have to have had your first kiss."

For a long moment you sat in silence. You didn't look up to see Jackson's expression, but you knew him well enough to know that he was surprised.

"No way," He grinned, expecting it to be a joke.

"Yes way," You tried not to sound bitter, but you couldn't deny that you were a bit humiliated. After all, girls must've been fighting over Jackson in high school and you were halfway through college without getting so much as a peck.

"You have to be kidding," Jackson continued, scooting closer to you on the couch, "I can't believe you haven't had your first kiss!"

"Well, believe it," You said, frustrated, setting your mug back on the coffee table. "There's your embarrassing story. It's your turn."

"No, wait," Jackson wouldn't let you move on from the topic, "How have you never been kissed before?"

"I just haven't, okay? And I would like to note that kissing is not something that should be done to you. I guess it was partially my choice."

"Why, though?

"I don't know..." You trailed off, not entirely sure of the answer yourself, "I guess I just never met the right person. I was always so afraid of it going wrong, or that I would somehow manage to ruin it."

"Hey," Jackson said softly, reaching over to take your hand gently in his, "You could never ruin anything. Plus, first kisses are supposed to be awkward."

"Yeah, well," You sighed, looking down at your hand clasped in his, "I wonder if I'll ever know."

Jackson's hand squeezed yours, but you still didn't look up at him. You figured he was probably pitying you, which was the last thing you wanted.

"Can I be it?"

For the first time in awhile you looked up at him, searching his expression.

"What do you mean?"

"Can I be your first?" Jackson repeated, his eyes shy, "Kiss, I mean."

You watched him with wide eyes.

"I understand if it's too much," He continued nervously, speaking faster than he could think, "I didn't mean to overstep, I-"

"No," You interrupted, the hint of a surprised smile curving your lips. "It's-it's okay. I'd like that."

"Are you sure?" You wondered if Jackson's hand tightening around yours was intentional. He looked genuinely excited by the idea, albeit nervous.

"Yeah," You assured him, "I suppose I'd rather it be you than some random guy. Plus," You paused before meeting his gaze, "I trust you."

For a moment you freaked out internally, realizing that you were about to have your first kiss with no preparation, chapstick, anything. It also didn't help that you weren't sure of the exact mechanics of kissing, but you hoped you could handle a simple peck.

Jackson inched closer to you on the couch, and you blushed at the prospect of what was about to happen. He brushed your arm softly, bringing you closer. You stared into his eyes, wondering why he volunteered. However, every thought in your head was forgotten as his lips touched yours.

The kiss was soft. Jackson was afraid of making you regret your decision, while you were afraid of embarrassing yourself. And yet, you couldn't help but melt into the kiss. There weren't physical sparks or fireworks exploding in the background like in the movies. It felt special, but not so much because it there were lips moving against lips, but because you were closer to Jackson than ever before. You could feel his hand in yours and you knew it was his air that you were inhaling and that was exhilarating. A rush of adrenaline flowed through your veins as Jackson's essence consumed you.

He broke the kiss, pulling away. Jackson rested his forehead against yours, breaths mingling. Your eyes raked up and down his face, so close you could see every detail. His face was flushed and still a bit nervous, but there was an excitement about him that mirrored your own.

Neither of you spoke, but you could tell you were thinking the same thing.

Jackson pressed his lips against yours again. You snaked your hands up around his neck, enjoying the invigorating new feeling. His tongue brushed against your lower lip, and in the back of your mind you thought you remembered that meant you were supposed to open your mouth. Jackson seemed to read your hesitation and started to pull away, but immediately you pulled him back, deepening the kiss.

You began to lean backward and Jackson took the cue to nudge you down against the couch, one hand cupping your cheek while the other rested supportively on your hips. His fingertips brushed the bare skin where your shirt had risen, making you shiver. Jackson kissed you feverishly, unable to handle your sweet scent and luscious lips, lips only he had ever had the privilege of kissing.

Soon you had to pull away, hating to break the kiss but desperate for a breath. You stared into Jackson's eyes, smirking lightly with tingling lips.

"What?" Jackson asked before leaning forward to initiate another kiss.

"You were wrong," You replied, pausing the kiss only long enough to talk before pulling him harder against you.

"I was?"

"Mhm," You whispered against his lips, "Not every first kiss is awkward."

Jackson let out a breathy laugh before reconnecting your lips, proud to have given you the first kiss you deserved.
