From the second you got in the car with Bambam he couldn't contain his excitement. Before you even had time to greet him he was throwing his arms around you, yelling about how long it had been since he saw you, when in reality it had been less than two weeks.
"Nice to see you too," You laughed, gratefully hugging him back, still cold from the freezing weather.
"Are you ready for some shopping?" Bambam asked, wiggling his eyebrows at you as the taxi started you towards the mall. It was the Got7 guys' first free day in quite awhile, and while the rest of them had chosen to have a relaxing day at home, Bambam decided he needed some retail therapy with his best friend.
"I'm not carrying your bags this time," You shot back, grinning at the ridiculous memory of you buried underneath a stack of his purchases. It didn't make sense to you how one person could own so many shoes and have a chance to wear them all.
Your best friend stuck out his tongue at you before listing all of the stores he wanted to hit, although you already knew the routine. The two of you always had tons of fun together, especially at the mall where you could walk around eating ice cream with arms linked. You were ready for a day full of laughter with your favorite person.
You glanced over at Bambam as he spoke rapidly, his amount of energy shocking you as usual. The car window framing his profile was frosted over with a thin layer of ice, contrasting against his constant glow. Bambam was beautiful, and you were lucky to have him in your life.
When you reached the large building housing the mall, Bambam was practically shaking with excitement. You both pulled your scarves tighter around your face, Bambam using it to hide his identity, before running in the cold from the car and through the large entry doors.
"Where first?" You asked as soon as you stopped shivering.
Bambam grabbed your gloved hand and led you deeper into the mall, towards whatever store he had in mind.
You followed as your best friend shopped around, occasionally getting something small for yourself. Although you smiled along with him and laughed when he pointed out an obnoxious piece of clothing, something felt wrong in your gut. It didn't have anything to do with Bambam though. You tried to convince yourself that maybe you were just hungry, but you knew with a sinking feeling that your anxiety had chosen that day to prey on you.
Staring down at the speckled tiles of the floor, you tried to calm yourself down. Bambam continued to chat at away at your side while you attempted a few smiles at what he said, but you were sure they looked weak. He could sense something was up with you, but he also knew you didn't like to talk much when you were feeling down.
"Wanna get some food?" Bambam piped up after a few failed attempts at getting you to perk up.
"Nah," You said, shaking your head, trying to brush off your heart that was racing for no reason, "Is there anywhere else you'd like to go?"
"Hmm... I think we need ice cream."
You glanced at his hopeful face, eyes and smile as bright as ever. If anyone was able to make you feel better, it was him.
"Okay," You replied softly. Bambam grinned at you in return and began dragging you towards the ice cream parlor in the mall.
Your heart rate increased as more and more people flew past you carrying bags and screaming children. The world started to wobble, and you felt light on your feet but heavy in your chest. Everything was spinning and blurry and all you could see were random colors as you tried to steady yourself, but doing so made you even more lost.
